Q:coil wiring diagram: The two small wires are positive and negative. Most are color coded and if it's a OEM part, the negative will be the same color as the group of smaller wires connected to the negative battery cable. Each manufacturer uses different color codes and for instance, Kawasaki uses black with yellow stripe. The other wire will go to the positive side. If the coil doesn't have wire coming out if it, it may have a + or - sign by the terminals. In actuality, it doesn't really matter which way you hook it up because a coil doesn't really care which way the electricity travels. It's the collapsing magnetic field that creates the spark and not the direction or movement of electricity.

Q:When wiring my subs from a positive to negative coil, do I use positive or negative speaker wire?: Speaker wire is speaker wire. There's no difference between positive and negative wire except the markings on the jacket. If you're talking about the bridge wire when wiring a dual voice coil subwoofer in series, just use any piece of wire that's the same gauge as the wires between the other subwoofer terminals and the box terminals.

Q:I am connecting a humidstat to furnace. I would normally use furnace/thermostat wire for this purpose except that I need 8 conductors and the largest furnace/thermostat wire seems to be 5 conductors. I would like to use another 18guage 8 conductor wire but not sure if there are any specifications I need to ensure it meets before I can use it inside furnace cabinet.: bill this project seems to be taking you forever, may i ask why do you need 8 conductor?

Q:ok got the mute wire figured out thanks to yahoo answers people..now i was wondering what the [ ILL] WIRE IS FOR ,ILLUMINATOR FOR SOMETHING?..also which wires on the speaker wires are pos and neg one is solid ,one is solid with stripe..not sure which is pos or neg thanks alot steve: first answer is correct, However, as long as you keep the solids and stripes consistent, it doesn't really matter if you hook them up negative stripe or positive stripe...just keep them all the same..

Q:But I want to switch it and wire the red ceiling wire to the black fan wire and the black ceiling wire to the black/white fan wire so that the particular switches work the way I want them to. Is this ok, to switch them?: Black wire on the fan is for the fan motor, red wire in the fan is for the light, the white wire is the neutral wire. So if you do want to switch the light off and on you have to tie red wire to the switch and the black wire can be tied to the hot at the ceiling box so you can control the fan with the chain only. If you have one switch leg in your circuit then you cannot do anything but switch them both if you tie them together. I think I am understanding what you are saying here. White Alyse ties to white Black is for the fan motor and the red is for the light. If you have three wires in the switch then you can tie them the same way color to color. Q:what gauge wires should i use for my 12'' alpine typr r SWR-1242D?: For the speaker wire going from the amp to the speaker? Try to stay above 16 gauge, I use 12 gauge as over-kill. It costs like 12 cents more per foot and is completely worth it. For the power wire going from the battery to the amp? Use no thinner than 4 gauge power and ground wire assuming your only pushing a single Type-R. Good Luck!

Q:i need to know if my wires are hooked up right: you must have a heat pump then. Basically the terminal connections should be the same as how those wires are connected at the indoor air handler.If you did not note the colors and the terminals they were connected on the old stat then you may have to check the air handler.

Q:Wire diagram: Hello there George, It has become common over the past few years that non-residential boilers are wired with EPO (emergency, power off) switches just outside each door to the boiler room. This is similar to having fire alarm pull boxes by the exits. I do not know of any jurisdiction that requires it for a residence. On occassion I've seen the 24 volt circuit for the thermostat being switched, which is a bit sketchy. Normally the 120 volt circuit for the controller is switched. The switches used are of the pushbutton type.

Normally black is the power, green is a ground, which you don't have, and as for the red wires I'm not sure. Is this a new fan or one that has been used before. In the USA we have a white wire which is a neutral. I'm puzzled about the two red wires, these may have been added at a later date. If your in a country that has 240 volts then this may be an explanation. Regards, Dale
