Structure and operating principles of Portable Self-priming Single Suction Centrifugal Pump

Diesel engine driven self-priming pump is composed of diesel engine, coupling, pump body, impeller, rear cover, mechanicalseal, pump spindle, bearing block, imported pump, gas-liquid separator tube, water valve and drain connection. The structure of the pump is shown in the following figure.

Principle of operation: The pump body with fluid reservoir inside and the working chamber of the pump, being connected with each other through the reflowingvalve on the upper side and circulation valve beneath it, form the axial-flow outer recirculation system of the pump. When the pump stops working, it already has a volume of liquid reserve inside its fluid reservoir, when the pump runs, the liquid inside is ejected upward with the air flow under the function of impeller, then it reflows into the working cavity through the gas-liquid separator tube, at the same time, the gas is exhausted out of the pump, which makes the pump vacuumed inside so as to get self-priming realized.

Preparations of Portable Self-priming Single Suction Centrifugal Pump

  • Check the fasteners of the joint parts, such as the pump seat, the coupling and the bearing carrier, and make sure that they would not loosen. If any of them get loose, you should fasten them.

  • Check the connecting pipes and make sure that there is no gas leakage.

  • Switch on the water valve on the top of the pump, add a volume of water, which is no less than 2/3 of the pump volume. Then switch off the water valve. The next time you start the pump, you never need to do water-injection anymore.

  • Get the power line of the storage battery routed to the power source , when the diesel engine is power-on, press down the starting button of the meter panel,  give it a test run to see if it rotates clockwise (counterclockwise rotation is prohibited).

  • Starting up: Add antifreezingsolution to the water tank of the diesel engine, and fill the fuel tank with diesel oil, then add some lubricating oil (labeled 10w-40)to the engine. Route the power line of the starter to the storage battery and pay attention to the positive and negative poles.

FAQ of Portable Self-priming Single Suction Centrifugal Pump

  • How can I get trained on CNBM products?

Yes, we provide training courses in our factory (products, general and specific pump technology, hydraulics, and practical applications). Please consult your sales manager or get in touch with our headquarters for more information.

  • Are your pumps cheaper than those of your competitors?

CNBM aims to give its customers the highest standards of quality and service and delivery times, all at a reasonable price.

  • Do you have self-priming pumps?

Yes, our product portfolio also includes two ranges of self-priming pumps: self-priming electric pumps and self-priming side channel pumps.

  • Is it really necessary to fit a bleed valve for the boxes?

It is always best to have a bleed valve as the gas produced by the fermenting sewage is potentially hazardous.

Q:We lost power and water during the hurricane, need help with water pump.?
1. you are going to need at least a couple gallons of water in a bucket to re-prime. 2. look for a plug at the top of the pump and remove it. 3. pour water into the plug opening, filling up the pump as much as you can. 4. put plug back in so at least one thread is grabbing. by doing this it will allow air to escape and won't be spraying water everywhere. it is also a good idea to keep your hand on the plug. 5. turn on electricity to pump. 6. when you start to notice pressure re-gaining tighten up the plug so it does not drip. It is also a good idea to have an outside tap on to get air out of the lines. Another thing is, it is a good idea to shut off water to toilets and washing machines before re-starting pump because small debris have a habit of clogging them up. When your pressure is back, drain your toilet and cold water line to your washing machine, flushing all the stuff out until you see nice clear water. Hope I helped and good luck.
Q:2 inches of water pump is generally equipped with high-power motors
Clean water pump 5.5 kw
Q:I have a 1991 fleetwood fwd with a streaming coolant leak i the water pump has been replaced was told it is ?
If okorder.com has printable online manuals for most repairs but if you aren't mechanically inclined and have little experience I would advise you to take it to a mechanic and have it fixed properly. Depending on the vehicle most water pump replacement cost between 2 and 3 hundred at a garage. The timing chain cover never needs to be removed to change a water pump.
Q:What is wrong with my Home Water Pump?
This can get sticky, so pay attention and keep up. Every well system has to have a pump and a resevoir tank. The older style tanks used the air that gets trapped in the top of the tank and compressed, to push the water back out when you opened a tap. However, over time water and air will mix together a little at a time until there's very little or no air left at the top to compress, and we all know that you can't compress water, so when that happens, the pump starts up, the pressure switch realizes that the pressure is instantly at the shutoff point and shuts back down, sometimes over and over in an almost self perpetuating cycle, until you shut the power off. With the advent of the new bladder tanks, where the rubber bladder installed in the center of the tank keeps the air on top at a certain pressure and the water coming in the bottom away from mixing with the air, these problems pretty much go away, until the bladder breaks and allows water to flow up into the top area. Then you have a very expensive old style resevoir tank, with the same old waterlogged problems. If you have either of these types of systems then you can remedy the situation for a short time at least, by completely draining the tank with the pump off and then shut all the valves above and refill the tank, allowing the water to pressurize the air. If you have the bladder tank and it's acting that way, then you may want to replace it, or just use it as is. You can always pressurize it from the top and drain it by putting enough air in it to blow all the water out and then start over.
Q:Well Water/Pump Problem?
Sounds like its overheating. There is a fuse that will automatically shut off if it gets to hot.
Q:90kw pump star delta start, in the end to use the circuit breaker, AC contactor (Star contactor, angle contactor), what kind of thermal relay?
The first thing to take the star delta start voltage step-down start, star rated by reducing root 3 times, power is also reduced, 90kw / V 3 = 52kw starting current is 5---7 times will reach the rated current of 52kw * 2 = 104A, starting current will reach 500----700A is normal, if you match breaker sister ordinary 800, D at the beginning of the special motor, they start filtering instantaneous current, 250 can be,The star delta starts with only three contactors, and there will be no 4The contactor can be more than 110
Q:Why new water pump on Jeep making same noise?
if it is not anything else making the noise then perhaps you have a defective pump....if that jeep has a 4.0 with a manual tensioner then it is very easy to overtighten the belt and cause pre mature failure of the front bearing in the water pump
Q:What do I need to install a manual water pump at our preschool?
It would be best to have an auto fill tank, one that shuts off at a certain level. You would want to have a tank that doesn't pressurize. You could bury it if you wanted to get more realistic. But keep the tank small, so little kids won't fit inside if you get my drift.
Q:Is there a diagram that shows which bolts go where on a 2001 dodge dakota 3.9L V6 engine for the water pump?
There are 4 long bolts that go all the way through the pump and and timing cover into the engine block. The rest are shorter but all the same length which seal the pump to the timing cover. You cannot put them in the wrong holes. The 4 long bolts do screw into water passages though. What has probably happened is you neglected to put sealant on the threads of the 4 long bolts that go into the coolant passages. If you put those 4 bolts in without sealant the coolant can weep right past the threads even if the bolts are tight and leak. Remove just those bolts 1 at a time and coat the threads with RTV or gasket sealing compound and re-install them then pressure check the system. Best of Luck!
