Q:I have a tan/white colored carpet..its a normal carpet, the threads are about ? inches long. One time i used a carpet cleaner (and didnt read the directions) and sprayed the carpet and left it to soak there for a few minutes...now the carpet spot is yellow...Any way to fix the unfixable?other than getting a new carpet..
I personally prefer Woolite SpotShot for those little carpet mishaps. But not sure if that would fix your problem. I have seen Martha Stewart use OxiClean to whiten and remove stains from antique table linens. When doing so, she allows the item to soak in the Oxiclean for as long as 24 hours. I don't think OxiClean would harm your carpet. And at this stage how much harm could it do? I would apply it liberally and reapply from time to time to keep it damp until the stain disappears, up to several hours or even a day. If no cleaner works, is covering the stain with a rug or piece of furniture an option? There might be some way to cut out the stained area and replace with a remnant of unstained carpet, if necessary taking the unstained piece from a closet floor or from under a large piece of furniture. But I don't know how you would secure the patch down. Maybe your carpet supplier could suggest a method or be willing to do it for you. Hope something in that helps you somehow.
Q:How to remove a very long silica gel stained on the carpet?
Milk, use cleaning agent after the stain to be soften. Use banana water or paint thinner to wash if shoe polish smear the carpet. Brushing the corresponding coffee spot rugs glycerin. coated cream carpet with dry cloth first sucked the booty, vinegar, finally use the wet towel clean, the stains soaked repeatedly scrub with brush ink, dirty carpet should rub with rice milk, and then the neutral carpet cleaning agent. 005 on the old ink stains on the carpet, and finally clean with water, and then clean with neutral detergent. 002 spot rugs spotted by fruit stains can be repeatedly scrub by 8% ammonia water 1 soy sauce. 007 tea stain, wash it with neutral detergent . 4 immediately use of alcohol paint red ink stained carpet, and then wash with alcohol again. 6 paint. 3 The part is stained by ink, and then clean it with carpet cleaning agent
Q:i spilled 4 little dots of black fabric dye..is there a way to clean it with out messing up the carpet.
Your only option is to clip those fiber. Dye is permanent
Q:what's an estimation on installing cheap carpet and padding in a 15x18 room? thanks!
Well it really depends on where you live and who there is to install it. You can usually count on atelast $50-$150 an hour for installation. Some come as a package. Carpet usually can run anywhere from $1.99 on sale upwards to $15.00 a sq ft.
Q:How to match the color of the carpet?
it best be your favorite color, if considering color collocation, darker color in bettter than the light color, you can also choose a dark carpet, with a white or light texture, suggest that you choose slightly dark color carpet
Q:How can the wood floor urine stains be removed?
Remove urine stains with a sponge dipped in cold water. Wet the sponge pad gently, wipe it gently from the middle edge of the urine stain, or immediately dilute the urine with soda water. Apply some water detergent and a few drops of ammonia water at the urine stain. Silk and wool are not to be treated with ammonia Cover urine stains with a water absorbent pad impregnated with a water-based detergent. Cover time enough to clear all urine stains. When the absorbent pad absorbs urine stains, replace it. To maintain the water pad and urine stains are soaked with water-based detergents and ammonia. Then rinse with clean water (that is, pass the stain in the past, remove some of the dye and detergent residue), urine stains, and then daub some water detergents and a few drops of white vinegar. Wash the fabric clean with water and repeat the process as needed. Last dry. When handling carpet, use Stain-X carpet detergent, Up&Out (not wool fabric) or Afta carpet detergent after all procedures.
Q:2 days ago when I came home I noticed that the toilet was leaking water and the whole bathroom floor was flooded. Even the carpet between the bathroom and the kitchen got soaking wet. My husband fixed the toilet and we immediately wet vac'd the carpet.I woke up this morning to this awful smell that was coming from the carpet. I called my apartment manager and he said he will send a carpet cleaner this afternoon.I really cant stand the smell and its giving me a headache.Plus Im kinda worried...Im not really sure that the carpet cleaning will help. (Im afraid that there is mildew under the carpet)Has anybody made the same experience and can tell me if carpet cleaning really helps? And if the smell doesnt go away or will come back does our manager HAVE to replace the carpet because of health reasons?!I'd be thankful for helpful advice.
the flooring must be torn out, adding water or chemical to the already wet carpet is not going to do any good. just rip the carpeting out and have it replaced.
Q:also, if you can tell me two suppliers that sell carpet
If this is for a math class, then a square foot is a square that measures 12 inches on each side. You can then picture that you could lay 30 of those out in a row and that would run the length of your room. You would then need 20 of those rows. So you could add all of that up or you could multiply, like has been previously discussed. However if this is for someone purchasing carpet, you should know that carpet generally comes in 12 foot wide rolls plus or minus a bit depending on the mill where it's made. and you'll probably have to buy 60 linear feet or 720 square feet, this will give you one seam running the length of the room. Alternatively you could hope that the roll is exactly 12 feet wide and you could buy 50 linear feet but this will give you three seams. If it's being installed for you, then it will probably be figured the second way. Although the first way gives a better installation. It's the difference between theoretical and reality.
Q:Okay, I have to do chores and I completely forgot what is a rug! I am a dumb blond..
Wow okorder /
Q:I'm buying a New Forest on Thursday and have done some research but just want to see what your opinions are? Lady has a very thick coat on at the moment and for the time being, while I gradually get her back into work I won't clip her. Will she be ok in and out without a rug? What would you do in this situation? If and when I do clip her, what rug do you recommend? Just turn out or stable too and if so what thickness? Thanks in advance.
Keep her the way she is for now until you start to do more than gentle hacking. But ask the previous owners about how much work she's been doing and whether they have clipped her in the past. I kept a NF unclipped throughout her life and always let her coat get reasonably thick before rugging her up for the rest of the winter. However, she was only ever in light work and did not sweat much. Cold is rarely a problem, only rain AND cold will bother her, so she will not need a very thick rug. I would say 9 or 12 rating is more than enough. I'm jealous - you're going to have SO MUCH FUN! :D
