Can he fall on the ice and scrape all the skin off his knee without bruising thru his pants?

- Sounds ideal :) I'd also get two cotton summer sheets - these are relatively cheap and they'll help keep your winter rugs clean. Put one under her turnouts and one under her stable rugs - wash them weekly and it will keep the lining of your heavy rugs clean, and also it will keep her coat in better condition. Summer sheets can be put in your washing machine (if your mum/dad/partner don't mind lol) and tried on the line or in the tumbler. Email me if you want any more help :)

- Q: when every i take my cover off my horse it lets of static electric zaps. (you know like if you shuffle along the floor then tap some one and it lets of this zap) but its not small zaps they are very loud, you can hear them crackle from meters away if you move the cover, but they are also EXTREMELY painful!! (It left me with welts all up my arms!) i can hardly hold it because of this (it only dose it when i take it off) and im starting to worry if it may be hurting my horse as well as me, So how can i stop this? - Try wiping your horse with a dryer sheet before you put it on him next. Or spray the inside of your rug with static guard. Or both.

- There are many nice machine made rugs that are not very expensive.You can find them at department stores, which often have sales, and home improvement stores -- which are good ones for high traffic areas. Hand made ones will be more expensive, it's all in how much you can afford.

- That depends on what the stains are from. If they are from food, some oxygen type cleaners can lighten them, If they are from bleeding of the dyes in the rug colors (which can happen with some inexpensive wool oriental type carpets), there is not much you can do. If it is pet stains, a good professional cleaning company can often remove them. I have owned a lot of oriental carpets and I highly recommend finding a professional cleaner who specializes in cleaning them. It usually costs about $100 to have an 8 x 11 carpet cleaned, but they can make them look (and smell) like new. I don t think you should try to clean the rug with any water based cleaners or shampooing. Some one I know had a rug very much like yours and when they tried to damp shampoo it all of the red color bled into the white areas and ruined it.
