Q:How to clean the gum on the carpet in the fastest and the most clean way?
Preferred choice is adhesion remover, it will the remove chewing gum with no trace.
Q:What problem should pay attention to if laying carpets on the first floor, does need to lay a damp proof film?
There is a skid resistant mat on market, paving under the carpet is ok, and if it is not too damp, do not have to lay the moisture-proof film.
Q:Red carpet?
How about a red couch? I recently bought a bright red couch for the livingroom. I love it. Not gonna do the carpet thing though. I have the red curtains in the bedroom w/ a matching comforter. Goes great w/ yellow and green.
Q:My area rug was folded in the garage for a while. Now I decided to use it but it's bumpy in some places.?
lay the rug out upside down and place some weight on the problem ares....boxes of books, or canned goods for example...it don't have to be too heavy. let it go for a few days and then turn the rug over and do the same with any problem areas
Q:Can anyone give me a list of notable stories involving magic carpets?
The Phoenix and the Carpet, E. Nesbit
Q:I have a 7x10 area rug i washed and hung dry?
It may be an issue of what your rug is made of. I had a similar problem with a synthetic rug and I had to hang it outside for weeks to get the stink out of it (we'd used a steam cleaner 4 times on it so we knew it was clean). Make sure you've gotten all the soap out of the carpet because that can actually attract more dirt! Also try cleaning the surface the rug was on. Sometimes the smells can get trapped there too. Good luck!
Q:How to stick to the carpet tiles
With the glue paste, storefront is such a carpet. General use of edge glue and the middle part of the glue, it is best to find professional carpet laying professional workers shop, the price is not expensive, but the effect will be very good.
Q:What size area rug for room that is 10 x 10?
There really isn't such a rule. An area rug is used to anchor the furniture arrangement in a room and as a sound barrier for hard surface flooring. I would look at how the furniture is arranged a choose a size that optically connects the furniture to the rug. More often than not, people choose a rug that is too small and out of scale with the furniture. A 6 x 8 may be optimal for the dimensions of the room if it serves the scale of the furniture and the amount of furniture in the room.
Q:Area rug moves around too much - what can I do?
It's because the wall to wall has a nap -- the fibers tend to bend in a certain direction and every time you step on the area rug, the pressure compresses the fibers of the wall to wall carpet pile down in one direction -- when the pressure releases when your foot moves, the pile springs back, catching the backing of the area rug and inching it forward. The sticky carpet-to-carpet liners you can buy (like the first answer mentioned) do help some but if your wall to wall is a fairly deep plush there is really not much you can do to stop the area rug creep. I have found over the years that soft unbacked area rugs like dhurries and Navajo blanket type rugs don't creep as much as regular broadloom or oriental area rugs that have the stiffer cotton warp backing. But they still eventually creep to some extent.
Q:Instead of buying a new rug...?
maybe you can get the same rug, but a new one so it doesnt slip.
