Q:whats a good inexpensive stream cleaner that will make my carpet look like new again! we moved into our apartment almost a year ago and it was a very rainy muddy day, ever since my carpets have just been plain nasty looking, its only the livingroom and diningroom though. What can i get that will actually work

Vacuum the carpet, remove all the superficial dirt especially in traffic areas. At Home Depot you can rent a machine to stream the carpet and can buy the detergent. Choose a detergent with anti mould and antimicrobial agent.

Q:rug is wool. its new. it costs 80 dollars to clean with the company.. id rather do it by hand.what besides hot water and a rug.. do i put on it to clean it by hand?

Let the pros clean it since it's wool. Do NOT use hot water on it.If it's just the smell then open all the windows and let it air out. The smell will disappear. If you have a clean garage lay it in there on top of sawhorses or clean trashcans so the air can circulate.

An indoor/outdoor would work or how about an area rug with tile around the edges. I don't know how much water you get but an area rug wouldn't have the padding that takes so long to dry. Good luck!

Carpets okorder ., to locate a professional certified, and insured carpet cleaner who uses the hot water extraction process. In most cases the furniture and other household furnishings need to be removed from the room to properly stretch the carpet. Coordinate the time for this with the cleaner to come in after the carpet is stretched, perhaps all completed in the same day. This is how we do it, I'm a professional HWE carpet cleaner.

What colour is the carpet? When we moved into our house there was a very dark brown stain in the middle of the pink carpet. We'd had the carpets cleaned but it remained. I got some bleach and a pink Chux (I don't know whether you have this product where you are but it is a think cleaning cloth). The bleach removed the stain out of the carpet and the pink from the Chux was transferred to the carpet. You can now not tell at all where the stain was.

The average price for carpet will depend on a few things. The type of yarn, the amount of yarn and type of store you buy it from. Unless you are comparing apples to apples it is not possible to get a fair average price. I have a carpet business and customers ask a question like this all the time. So this is what I tell them. My company has a 25 ounce carpet with a FHA padding for $6.99 per square yard. Just over 77 cents a square foot. This carpet is not industrial and is better then rental carpeting. And the price goes up from this point. You must tell the store you are call the exact type of carpet you want to get comparison prices, that way you are apples to apples, not whatever store one gives you compared to store two. Installation cost run around 30 cents per square foot in my area (depending on size of job, type of carpet, stairs etc.)

Therefore, you must always clean clothes, dust, every two weeks or so, you can use about 50 degrees or so hot water cleaning a bedding. Also try to simplify the bedroom layout, in order to facilitate dust removal, indoor best not to carpet, not at home to put tapestries and other things easy to accumulate dust.

Q:I already have my carpet and padding. We purchased a whole house of like new, but used carpet at a great price for our LR and BR's and we have carpet padding. We planned to pay to have the carpet installed, but we are now completely out of money and paying someone is not an option. I know it will not be as nice or last as long, but I am wondering if we can glue the carpet down? It's just a regular mid-grade plush carpet. I am also wondering if this can be done with carpet padding or can it only be glued directly to the sub-floor? I am trying to figure out if I could staple down the carpet padding and somehow glue the carpet to the padding? Any help/suggestions on gluing down carpet with or without padding would be appreciated. Thanks!

Q:I'm having a hard time visualizing this. I have two small black tables, a black loveseat, black TV with a black (or soon to be silver stand) and a bright red chaise lounge. I know going with a neutral beige rug would be good, but what is another different color I can go with in a rug? Bonus points if you can also tell me a good color for one accent wall... :)

Go to Target, they have some very nice large rugs in multi colored patterns. Several with Black and Red and other bold colors. Either that, or a black white rug would do nicely with red furniture also. and if it were me, I would color one accent wall with a nice red. Just be bold!
