Q: i want to get either rush black swiss or rush ceramic and i want the ones that are better but im not sure which ones are better
ceramics are very good.
Q: Whats better and why?Lucky Abec 7 bearings or Bone Reds?
Bones Reds bearings are personally my favorite bearing cause they are pretty cheap and will last you a very long time plus they roll smooth and fast ive rode some i got for maybe almost a year and they still ride great
Q: ok so i got a long board this Christmas and well....can i use 70% rubbing alcohol to clean them before i re lube them?and if i can then do i have to let them sit/shake them up a little longer to get them clean?and what kind of lubrication should i get to re lube them?and how long do you think my bearings, trucks , wheels and deck will last if i dont carve ( cause im only going to cruse ) only use my board when its sunny and dry out side and clean/ re lube my bearings every month?p.s. im 125 pounds if that makes a difference...MY LONG BOARD...arbor bamboo pintail72mm/78A arbor wheelsblack gullwing trucksabec 5 bearings (closed bearings )

Q: What skate bearings are better? ABEC 9 ABEC 7, ABEC 5, OR ABEC 3? I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS
the higher the abec rating are the faster they spin if they are free of dirt. yet, the higher the rating the tighter the ball bearing are packed and the quicker they become clogged with dirt. REDS are cheap about 15 bucks and out shine most bearings. they are made from powell and they are the red are 15buck and they got 6 ball swiss that can go for over 100 bucks
Q: I own a pair of Mission Axiom A.3 roller hockey blades and it says on their website that all the wheels are MISSION CSX indoor/outdoor 78A but when i look at the wheels on the skates, they say they are all different sizes, unfortunately i am not at home so i can not tell you which sizes they are.The mission website also says that the bearings are MISSION ABEC 5 but i don't see any websites that sell those bearings so what other kind is the best and fastest kinds of bearings to buy?I just started getting into roller blading/roller hockey im not really playing roller hockey but i go skating a lot and like to go really fast so i don't really know a whole lot about skates but would like to learn what kind of wheels/bearings i should buy, thanks for any help.
As okorder and found the people at their customer service desks to be good.
Q: I know it all depends on preference, but is it worth upgrading from ABEC 5s to ABEC 7s?
It all depends on how serious you are. If you're just playing road hockey with some friends, you're probably not going to get much of a performance difference from ABEC 5 to 9. If you play competitive inline hockey, then I guess it might be worth it. Swiss bearings are better than any ABEC ones though so keep that in mind. Oh, and how clean the bearing is, and whether it still has any grease to it is just as important as the rating. Use some WD-40 on that **** and you'll be good to go.
Q: I have been cleaning my bearing about every two weeks. I have been using plain tap water, and a Q-tip. How often do you clean yours, and what do you use?
lol, first of all it is good to clean them even if they are sealed, that seal doesn't help that much water gets into everything it'll help keep out the dirt but not moisture. You don't really need to clean them as often as you have been, it's good to lube them that much if you skate a lot but you don't need to clean them everytime. Tap water is a bad choice and so is a q-tip. Use 99% isopropyl alcohol(rubbing alcohol), it'll dry quickly and a can of air(duster) and that is all you'll need.Kerosene or mineral spirits is also a good choice. It's quick an easy. If you have cheaper bearings a quick method of cleaning is all you'll need because they won't last very long anyways, but if you have expecive bearings you'll want to take the shield off and clean them throughly. A can of tri-flow is a good easy quick way to clean them, spray them good wipe them off lube them up and you're good to go. Always lube after a clean, and use a good quality lube, like speed cream or rockin ron's rocket propellant is highly recomened. stay away from wd-40 and other cheaper lubercants they'll attract dust and dirt and make your bearings crap out in a month. I clean mine about once a month but lube them about 3 times a week because I skate a lot. by doing this you'll extend the life of your bearings by 6-12 months longer than normal.
Q: No stupid answers please. Im an ASE master mechanic and I'm looking to hear from experienced off roaders. I'm new to offroading. I'm driving an F250 460 Bigblock 4x4. I know my u joints breaking are normal but am I to expect the same from my tie rods and front manual locking hub wheel bearings once a month if not once a week (I stay up on my alignments). I just bounced my truck three times straight sideways (that's when I really felt the wheel bearings and tie rods go out) so I know I'm very abusive but they are...well were brand new. Is there something I should do as far as suspension or aftermarket parts. I've been doing my homework but any suggestions would help. Rear axle is 30 years old and still kicking major *!*, front end not so much. I do a lot of jumping and climbing. Any suggestions would help. I have an IFS dana 44 front axle. I don't really think of a center pivot axle as IFS and I always thought it looked crappy for offroading. Could it be I need a solid axle?
What size tires are you running? The number one rule of off roading is to drive as slow as possible but as fast as necessary. I am a avid off roader and have over 1500 trail miles with my Land Rover and over 500 miles with a Mitsubishi that I had and have never once broken anything. So my first suggestion is to slow down, if you insist on not treading lightly and ruining it for the rest of us then bigger tiers aired down will provide a softer landing. But seriously, please Tread Lightly, they are closing trails left and right here in MI because people are abusing them and ruining the joys of off roading for the rest of us. We pack the cooler and dog and take the kids out all the time, they love it as much as we do. Until you get the ssholes in the big super moded trucks doing 50mph down the trails pretending that they are in the Baja 1000 with mud and dirt and endangered flowers flying everywhere. It should be legal to shoot these people.
Q: rollerblades btwi got water on them and then they were total slow, ive done the white spirit to get rid of all the grease and lubed them with 3in1 oil, will they be fast againsbtw, any1 who says wd40 im gonna report you because that completely ***** your wheels.cheers
Probably not. Water tends to ruin bearings. Once rust starts, it can='t be stopped without damaging the bearings. Get new ones. Try Bones Reds. 2 boxes for recreational skates, one for aggressive.
Q: Can someone explain and demonstrate the use of magnetic bearings + magnetic variation and ways of determining directions without a compass.
A magnetic bearing is a bearing which supports a load using magnetic levitation. Magnetic bearings support moving machinery without physical contact, for example, they can levitate a rotating shaft and permit relative motion without friction or wear. They are in service in such industrial applications as electric power generation, petroleum refining, machine tool operation and natural gas pipelines. They are also used in the Zippe-type centrifuge [1] used for uranium enrichment. Magnetic bearings are used in turbomolecular pumps where oil-lubricated bearings are a source of contamination. Magnetic bearings support the highest speeds of any kind of bearing; they have no known maximum relative speed.
