The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - Q:I recently had a repair done to my vehicle, and on the bill,they noted wheel bearings make noise. I went back in to ask the mechanic, and he stated to me that if I drive down the road I hear a roaring noise, and those are my wheel bearings. I asked him if this is something I should get taken care of right away, and he stated, no, not until it is very loud, so loud that you cannot drown the noise out with the car radio. Is this an accurate answer, or should I take care of this sooner rather than later. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what it would cost to have my front wheel bearings replaced? Thank you.
- If okorder . I'm sorry you encountered such a lame mechanic as wheel bearing noise is a great indicator the right, left or both should be throughly inspected and serviced. Im sure you don't want the dirty son of a gun to seize of fall off the car while you're driving.

- Silver out it does matter because you dont want dirt getting in your bearing and f-ing them up. Spacers are seperate from the bearing their just little cilindrical tubes.The easiest way to put bearings on is to put your bearing on the truck your wheel then press down on the wheel same for the other side.

- You may need to be more specific with the question but i assume that you are talking about the bottom bracket bearings. In BMX there are various BB (bottom bracket) sizes there are, Euro BB, Spanish BB, American BB and Mid BB. The most commonly used BB is the Mid which most BMX frames use now days, the American BB is quite old and dated the other BB that you may see is the Spanish BB which is used by various companies one being Fly Bikes (being a spanish company). You may find that your Hoffman frame has a Mid BB and the Eastern frame you own has a Spanish BB the most common difference is the Mid is larger than the Spanish, unless you provide some more information i suggest that you go to your local bike shop and ask for their opinion or help. - Q:About eight months ago, my girlfriend's front wheel bearings/hubs on her 1998 Chevrolet Malibu started making grinding noises. The mechanic said that it was the front hubs, so I had them replaced with aftermarket (read: cheap) ones and the noise was gone. A dealer OEM replacement and repair would have run me $650, but the aftermarket pieces only ran me $80/each, and labor was about $150 (iI think). Eight months later, or about last week, the hubs are grinding again.I am in Minnesota, so I was thinking that maybe it's partly due to the weather and the road conditions, but eight months, even for an aftermarket hub, just seems a bit ridiculous. If it were up to me, I'd sell the car and get another one, but it's my girlfriend's car, so it stays (and I'll wait for the repairs to keep piling up).The hubs took about 9,000 miles before going bad.

- Deck - any brand (as long as its not walmart or others like that) 7.5 - 8 inches wide, 30 - 32 inches long Trucks - any brand that is the same size as your deck Wheels - any brand 49 - 53mm big Bearings - Bones Reds Griptape - any brand Hardware - any brand Shoes - any brand For decks I would recommend Mystery, Flip , or Baker. There are tons more, but these are my favorites. For trucks I have always rode on Ventures, but many people say Independents are the best. For wheels many people ride on Spitfires or Bones Wheels. For bearings ride Bones Reds. Cheap and good. For griptape, it depends. Mob Grip is the grippiest. I usually ride on Jessup grip. All hardware is the same. They all break eventually, just buy some cheap ones. Many people wear smaller shoes for skating because they say it is easier to control the board more. I wear 12's but when I skate I wear 10.5s. I would recommend DVS, Fallens, or Globes.

- Reds are an excellent choice for economic bearings. They are very good for the money. There are better bearings on the market, but can cost 2-3 times as much or more. Pig Swiss, Black Panther Swiss and Bones Swiss will outperform Reds.
- Q:I drive a '98 Dodge Ram, and my bearings just went out for the second time. Should I get a new rotor or just new bearings? And if I need a new rotor, is there anything other than the rotor that I need to install?
- Its not likely that the rotors are at fault. Inspect and if there is no unusual wear they should be fine. Its odd that you are having to replace the bearings again, be sure to clean the rotor thoroughly to remove any metal particles that could cause bearing failure. Other than that use a quality grease and pack the bearings well. Be sure the new race is seated in the rotor. Check a repair manuel to be sure that you are tightening the spindle nut correctly and do not over tighten. Modern roller bearings rarely fail unless they are not properly lubricated. I have driven trucks and cars well over 20 years old that still have the original bearings.

I am a hockey player so I need some good wheels and bearings that will hold up, but I also don't want them to be expensive. If anyone has some good suggestions that would be great. - Q:I need to change/ repack the wheel bearings but i've never done it before but I am mechanically inclined enough to do it. Just need to know if theres any secret steps to follow. Any info would be great!!!
- packing bearing easy... you get a palm full and take the bearing big side down and push it in your hand little at a time a round the outer edge gap...til it pushes the grease out the other side..... kind of keep doing it til you see new grease and your done.... when you tap in the rear seal on the hub put a small amount in the hub between the bearing but you dont have to but it dont hurt too... when you tighten the outer nut is tight and then back off to fit pin thru hole your done.. fast way to get seal off is after you remove outer bearing put nut back on and give it a good tug most of the time the seal will pop right out
