Q: what are moter bearings and how hard are they to put into a gas engine?
There are different kinds of bearings in the engine, including main and rod bearings. Depending on which you need to change, it can be difficult or relatively simple. Main bearings are the easiest to change, you can access them by removing the oil pan. Take off each main cap and you'll be able to remove the upper and lower half of each bearing. Make sure to clean and inspect the surfaces for damage, and clean them really well. Lubricate the inner surfaces of the bearings after installing them with assembly lube. Be sure to torque the caps back on to the right spec. Hope this helps!
Q: idk if yhe bearings will fit or is it like all lonboard bearings are universal and can fit in any longboard wheel. also can you show me some bearings that fit in theselinks WHEELS
hard step. research from bing and yahoo. that could actually help!
Q: So I have a 2006 beetle bug and I noticed that my bearing sounds loose. I don't know however, if I have to replace just the bearing or since it's German, I need to replace the whole hub like an Audi. Does anyone know? Thanks! It's also the front left wheel
The answer is - yes - they have bearings - whether they are replaceable without the hub assy is the question. Lots of things on a front wheel can sound loose. brake pads or shims - suspension joints. if you jack the car up or put it on a lift try rocking the wheel from the top and bottom. If a wheel bearing is loose it will move. No movement the bearing should be ok. Rotate it - listen for noise - no noise probably ok. You should probably have a competent brake/suspension technician have a look at it.
Q: I just bought new skateboard bearings, but there so slow. I have bought the same brand before but the It was way way faster, but on the one I bought before said 5 on the pack and on the new pack of the slow ones it says 7. ....the guy that sold it to me said the 7 ones would be faster???????
Indy bearings take a long time to break in. They use a thicker gel lube. You might want to clean them and lube with a light skate bearing lube. ABEC ratings have absolutely nothing to do with speed. It is a measure of tolerance and it only applies to applications where the rotational speed is over 10K RPM.
Q: okay...lemme explain...i have an experiment in my criminalistics class on improvised weaponry and I figured, hey, stupid...(that's me) this sounds like a great(dangerous and stupid, with potential for serious bodily harm) idea. Gee, wonder what would happen if I do it?(most likely,PAIN.)how much damag would this cause to a human body? car? building, such as a wood shed(mine)....can this be done? will it destroy my(roommates, cause I sure as hell wont do it to mine!) gun? anyone know how quickly the ball bearings would come out? damage they'd inflict/ etc?any help would be enormously appreciated!

Q: I own a pair of Mission Axiom A.3 roller hockey blades and it says on their website that all the wheels are MISSION CSX indoor/outdoor 78A but when i look at the wheels on the skates, they say they are all different sizes, unfortunately i am not at home so i can not tell you which sizes they are.The mission website also says that the bearings are MISSION ABEC 5 but i don't see any websites that sell those bearings so what other kind is the best and fastest kinds of bearings to buy?I just started getting into roller blading/roller hockey im not really playing roller hockey but i go skating a lot and like to go really fast so i don't really know a whole lot about skates but would like to learn what kind of wheels/bearings i should buy, thanks for any help.
As okorder and found the people at their customer service desks to be good.
Q: This is a mid-1970's Schwinn. Obviously, if there is grit or dirt or rust I will clean them. My instinct is to use 3 in 1 oil if I must, then repack everything in good old reliable bicycle grease. But if there is just old grease without anything gritty, do I even need to clean the bearings etc., and if so, what cleaning agent do I use?
To clean bearings of grease you want to use a solvent. Several are available. Find one of these; mineral spirits, kerosene, or brake wash (aerosol). Use a parts cleaning brush and don't drop a bearing. Once they hit the floor they run and hide. Hard little critters to find, too. I use a magnet to pull the bearings out unless the old grease is too thick. The balls themselves can be put in a jar or tin with the solvent and soaked. Clean the race with the brush. I use an old metal coffee can to place the hub over and dip the brush in the can. It runs back inside to contain the mess. If you have compressed air you can blow them dry. If not you can force a piece of clean rag through the hub to dry. Inspect the clean race for pitting. (If there is pitting the race needs replaced and in most instances that will require a new hub.) Press the new grease in the race with your finger and place the balls one by one into the grease pressing them in. The new grease will hold the bearings from falling out. Don't worry if you think you are using too much grease, the excess will ooze out as you install the axle and you can wipe it off. Don't over tighten the axle nuts. There is a fine touch between play and over tight. With new grease I tighten them them to space the balls properly, then back off and tighten them for the proper feel.
Q: I know it all depends on preference, but is it worth upgrading from ABEC 5s to ABEC 7s?

Q: im thinking about buying bearings for my longboard. but idk there are open on one side are thay good .can some one help
Get a pair of good simple cheap bearings. I recommend MileHighSkate, Magic, of DBS. They are double rubber sealed to protect dirt from entering and cheap at $9. As long as you clean and lube any bearing, they will spin as good as any expensive one, so do not waste your money on expensive bearings.
Q: I just got a pair but are they good? I've heard they are awesome....
They are pretty good not awsome but ok, a good type of bearings is Reds, they are decently priced and they are wonderful
