Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearing :

The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. It is suitable for small section heght, or when the housing bore isnot used for raceway , this type is recommended to use .The bearing is assembled into the housing bore under a certain pressure without fu rther axial location.

The draw up needle roller bearing generally takes its shaft diameter as the internal raceway .However , the proper LR type inner ring can be  used in accordance with application condition.

Q:i am thinking about buying abec 9 bearings. Also i have some slow bearings too that i want to make faster.
bearings are very good. Like the Bones and Twin Cam, they are not ABEC rated because they can be made better by not following the standards for something else. It depends on why the slow bearings are slow. If they are cruded up inside (usually will sound or feel crunchy as you turn them) you need to clean them. If they got that way by running through water, there may be rust that will never clean out completely. It is possible that you got some that have a lot of grease in them. That can make a bearing really slow. The answer again is to clean it and lube it properly. Oil runs faster in bearings but you will need to reoil them more frequently (easier to do if you leave one shield off). Grease is slower but lasts a lot longer.
Q:Do rear wheel drive cars have rear wheel bearings?
Of course. You need the wheels to spin don't you?
Q:I had found out bones reds are one of the most best bearings for the money, and lots of mates have them so I bought some bones red's from Trademe (the New Zealand version of ebay) and they were real and all. as soon as I got them I rode them all around. but after about a week they were worse than my abec 3's. So I changed Back to them. While I was at the skate park People were saying that bones reds just need wearing into. so I cleaned them by soaking them in turps then putting speed cream on them. I have been skating heaps this month. but still not beta...???So any advice or help of what im doing wrong would be appreciated
Don't buy anything from anyone you don't know. Never buy from Trademe or eBay because somehting might be wrong with it. If you're going ot buy online then go to a trusted skatesite or a skateshop. Your Reds are probably dented causing more friction. Just pick up some FDK's ($10 abec 3's) or some new Reds.
Q:For my college engineering design project my team is basically designing a mousetrap car that has to travel a minimum distance of 3 meters and the dimensions are 20cm X 10cm X 10cm. The car will rely on its coasting phase to travel the majority of this distance so the reduction of friction between the axle and body needs to be at a minimum. I was thinking of using ball bearings for high quality rc cars but the only problem I face is how to keep them in the body which is basically a sheet of aluminum with two 1 cm edges bent 90 degrees downward with an 8 cm hole drilled through each side for the axles (od of bearings is 8 cm). I was thinking of using epoxy to keep them in but id like to hear other opinions.

Q:This is a technical question depending small losses for example in clean room applications (every particle matters...)
I assume you have tried shielded bearings, where the grease is contained inside covers that prevent its loss? Or possibly you do not have the funds to replace the bearings? Etc. I do not know the size of your pump/motor or whatever the bearing is on. I will tell you I have seen in an industrial setting on what I would call a small pump, they actually put a bag around the bearing housing to catch grease. Of course, the shaft ended at the housing so the bag did not have to come in contact with the rotating assembly. You could probably get more useful answers if you re-ask your question describing the size and physical configuration of the bearings and their housing.
Q:recently my grease ball abec 5 have rusted and it is time for new bearings. which ones should i get. i am looking to spendo no more than 35 bucks
skateboarding is gay.
Q:Given 11 bins containing ball bearings, ten of which contain ball bearings that weigh an ounce a piece and the other bin containing ball bearings that weigh one and one tenth ounces a piece, determine in one reading on a numerical scale which bin contains the odd ball bearings.
Put 1 bearing from the first bin, 2 bearings from the second bin, 3 bearings from the 3rd bin, ..., and 11 bearings from the 11th bin on the scale simultaneously. There will be 66 bearings on the scale. Record the total weight of the bearings in ounces as W. The number of the bin containing the overweight bearing will be given by N = 10(W-66)
Q:OK, so our ball bearings on our 2003 Hyundai tib went out pretty bad!! We bought new ones from auto zone and replaced them, within a week the bearings were destroyed again, so we brought our car to the base auto shop. The told us the bearings we bought were bad. They replaced them and we just spent $405 for them to replace them, put a new tire on and to do an alignment. We picked up the car monday! It is now only Thursday, 3 days later and the car seems to be making a grinding sound like it was before the 1st time the bearings went out. What are the odds we got 2 bad bearings? We do know that eventually the axle needs to be replaced but 2 mechanics have told us that it will be months before it NEEDS to be done! I just don't understand. The car is in fair condition and worth around 3,9500 as a trade in. We will prob. just trade it in soon bc it's not worth it. Has anyone else had this problem!??
It happens a lot. not only the ball bearings but other things as well. As the other guy said, try a Toyota, they will last forever. With little maintenance.
Q:Can I change the camshaft in my small block chevy 350 without changing the cam bearings? The motor is appears fairly fresh.
Risky but it's your cam shaft. Bearings and lifters are usually replaced with the camshaft. But then again years ago people would lay a strip of leather between bearings to take up any play. I wouldn't try that either today.
Q:how can loose fits cause failure in bearings? and in particular affect the outer diameter?i am seeing a failure catalog for bearings, and i read : discolartion and scoring is the result of the outer ring slipping in the housing. why outer ring?
The usual condition for the shaft to turn in a bearing is the inner surface of the bearing where the rollers or balls contact the shaft. This location is usually well lubricated and the contact area on the shaft is very minimal. Very little friction is generated and therefore very little heat is generated. If the outer race, surface, spins in the support a very high unlubricated contact surface is present and considerable heat is generated. This is known as spinning a bearing and it is not good and usually the result of the bearing race not fitting tight enough. If the friction fit in the bearing support is less than at the bearing / shaft the bearing will spin and generate heat. The heat will discolor the shaft and the individual bearings will be scored. The bearings out side diameter must be such that a tight fit is achieved when the bearing is installed.
