The outer ring of drawn cup needle roller bearing is punched with the high-quality steel sheet. The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - Q:I recently had a repair done to my vehicle, and on the bill,they noted wheel bearings make noise. I went back in to ask the mechanic, and he stated to me that if I drive down the road I hear a roaring noise, and those are my wheel bearings. I asked him if this is something I should get taken care of right away, and he stated, no, not until it is very loud, so loud that you cannot drown the noise out with the car radio. Is this an accurate answer, or should I take care of this sooner rather than later. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure of what it would cost to have my front wheel bearings replaced? Thank you.
- That 'mechanic' is an idiot. At the first sign of noise any wheel bearing should be replaced. Seviceable wheel bearing do not make noise and if one fails it could lead to a serious accident. At the very least it could ruin the wheel hub.

- I wouldn't. It shouldn't matter if your bearings, unless you pressed them wrong, but if I were too, I wouldn't

- Yep you sure can. Most bearings are standard size 608, and will fit on a skateboard, roller skates, and rollerblades.

- There are a couple things you can do. Delete the contact and there is also a setting in Messenger where you will always appear as off line to that contact. I know in MSN there is a block feature, but not that used to Messenger.

- A lot depends on the type of bearing. Generally, you can get the bearing out either with a press, or if you do not have a press or access to a press, you can use a tube or socket of near the right size and push them out with this and the use of a hammer. Before you do this, heat the metal surrounding the bearing to expand the housing to facilitate the extraction of the bearing. Nip into LOWS; go to the plumbers section and purchase gas-blowtorch. This will help heating t he metal surrounding the bearing. DO NOT HEAT THE BEARING ITSELF, okay. Once out, the replacement is simple. Again, heat the metal to help the bearing slip in easier. Use a piece of wood to tap the bearing in with a hammer to tap and seat the new bearing in. Good to go .. Best wishes, Dr Antony (45 years of doing it myself)
- Q:recently went to tire discounters to get some new tires, and they told me both wheel bearings were bad and my tie rod end was bad? me being a diy'r on most car things i said ill fix em, but they refused an alignment til my problems were fixed, though the wheel bearings aren't making any noise yet, i figured i would change them once i had the extra money to pick up a press and the bearings and shims i may need to press it in, if i replace just the tie rod end will they be able to align my car?
- As only one other person said, yes you can align a vehicle with shot bearings or steering system, though once you drive off it'll through everything off again resulting in you wasting money. You don't have to buy a press, any local parts store Napa/Autozone/etc. will have one you can rent. Once you replace the tierod ends and the bearings your car won't be as suicidal which in my books is a good investment.

- Q:I'm a freestyle inline skater, and I've been trying to look for high quality bearings. My current bearings fall under ABEC 5 and another set of SG 7, but I still find the performance sluggish even after cleaning. I've heard of ceramic bearings, and I was wondering if they're any good and if they can last against heavy impact (I tend to do a lot of high jumping). Or are there any other kinds of bearings which can deliver excellent speed and durability? Also, what are some recommended brands (I don't really mind the price)?Much thanks in advance!
- Ceramic bearings will not hold up to jumps. They are primarily intended for downhill longboarding and street luge. They would work as a speed skate bearing as well. Go for a Swiss bearing like Pig Swiss or Black Panther Swiss. .
- Q:Car was making grinding noise while moving. Replaced both wheel bearings and the noise went away. Drove car for 2 days then suddenly on the highway the noise comes back. I was told I toasted the bearings because I didn't use the specific torque setting on the hub nut. Does anyone know the proper settings and procedure? Could it be something else?
- Over tightening the hub nut and not packing the bearings properly could both cause bearing failure. Mechanics don't usually torque the hub nuts, they judge the proper torque by how freely the rotor turns. Your big worry now is if you have damaged the spindle by overheating it, if this is the case it will have to be replaced as you wouldn't want it to break when you are on the highway.
