- use a flashlight to look up under the sink and see how the hose is attached to the faucet. the clerk at the hardware store- a lowe's or home depot or such, will be able to get you the faucet wrench for the job.

- you will need whats called a Basin Wrench to reach up into that small area and unscrew it. any hardware store will have them, and the cheapest one will be fine, the expensive ones are just more durable and adjustable for us plumbers that use them everyday. good luck

- Size the end of the faucet and get a short piece of tubing at Home Depot . Slip it over the end and trim it to the appropriate length down inside the sink that works for you. Good Luck, Uncle Mike
- Q:The sink fixture when installed never sealed properly and water can seep between the portion of the faucet that meets the sink basin. Just a small area - I'm not replacing the sink - just can't and won't. I had used some clear caulk around the base of the faucet fixture, but it came off after a few months: it was silicone, but in the fine print it says that it was for windows and doors (I just took the tube he handed me then left). - Whatever you use you have to get the sink up so you can fill the space under it. You can't just fill the crack because it won't seep in where it can get a grip.
