- Q:What brand of basin is good?
- I use the eagle bathroom, aftermarket is better, you can help repair
- Q:I Just bought a new kohler faucet to replace my old but the hoses on the new ones are short. It has a 3/8 connector and my old one had a 5/8 connector...the old hose is pinched into the shutoff valve tap so i cannot remove it...what can i do to connect the old pipe with the new one...please help....home depot was no help
- Here's the bottom line, as I see it. Shut off the water to the house at the service valve out front or, if that valve doesn't work properly, shut it off at the meter. Get a tubing cutter and cut off the service valve under the sink as close to the valve as you can. Do not use a hack saw, use a tubing cutter. Home Depot sells new service valves that are compression fittings to slip over the pipe coming out of the wall or floor. Take the old valve with you so they can help you with the correct size. You'll need to cut off both valves. When you buy the new valves, buy some new armored hoses to connect your new faucet to the new valves. You'll need a couple of wrenches to install the new valves and hoses, and you may need a basin wrench to install the new faucet. Consider the tools an investment and the valves and hoses maintenance expenses. Once you've done one successfully you'll never be intimidated by that type of job again. Good luck.
- Q:I've never had one placed there. Are there any pros or cons?
- Generally speaking, you want to have the faucet centered along the back of the sink. If you have multiple basins, you want to be able to have the faucet reach both (or all three) of them by just swiveling. If you have a single basin, it might work. But, you would want one with a sprayer that pulls out to be able to reach the entire sink.
- Q:Which brand is good in basin basin faucet?
- Which brand is good in basin basin faucet?
- Q:I am replacing my kitchen faucet and I have a garbage disposal in front of it. Should I remove the garbage disposal or just work around it?
- Don't borrow trouble. Work around it. Murphy's law of plumbing states that there are three trips to the hardware store for every plumbing job: one for the part you thought you needed, one for the part you really needed, and one for the part you broke. If the disposal wasn't installed during the time you lived in the house, then you don't know how long it has been there, and you have just moved your number of trips to the hardware store from three for the faucet to six for the combination of the faucet and the disposal.
- Q:Please use details. I am wanting to change my faucets. I'm okay with doing things myself so, I thought to install it on my own. Help, please, with the removal and installation. Thanks.
- It would actually be helpful for you to go to a home improvement store and ask the people in plumbing. They can then show you what you're going to be up against, and how the various faucet models are fastened into the sink. Usually, for the type of faucet with two handles on either side of the spigot, there is a threaded water pipe coming down from the bottom of each valve. These then fit through the holes on the edge of the sink and you slip what's called a spanner nut onto these pipes, and tighten them up to fasten the faucet to the sink. You then attach the water supply lines to these pipes. For the types of faucet with the single handle in the middle, you may only have one threaded pipe with the water supply lines running up through it. One issue you may have in accessing the spanner nuts is that there's not enough room between the sink and back wall to access the nuts. In this case, you'll need a tool called a spanner wrench, which is basically a crescent-shaped metal clamp on the end of a metal handle that clamps down onto the nut when you turn it (ask the sales person in plumbing to show you one). Removing the old faucet can be the hardest part, especially if the old parts are rusted or corroded in place. You can also very easily break or strip old water cut-off valves when removing the corroded water lines, which will require that you replace them with the correct type (and you'll have to turn off the main water supply valve to do so). When you purchase the new faucet, you'll see how it gets connected in the instructions on the box. Various models have somewhat different actual mounting hardware. But, they're all basically the same (a type of spanner nut).
- Q:Home water heater through 6 points of hot water, only three points out of hot water, the other out of warm water. And the location of the hot water and warm water are used together to warm the wall, do a circulating hot water. Whether I am hot water or return water to the hot water is always only a point of hot water, but one of the points of the location of the change
- This problem is really the first time encountered. Usually the pipeline is too long, you need to take a long time to solve the water, because the cold water in the pipeline to go out of the reasons. As for your question, since you have found a hot water and warm water at intervals, then you let the plumber turn the basin faucet and the shower into the water pipe down is not the problem solved. If resolved, then it is your hot water separator problem, because you divided the six exports, may be a water separator or you use 3-channel change, then it is a problem. hope this helps!
- Q:It stopped working out of no where so the only way i can use my kitchen sink is to use the hand held spreyer.. I have never replaced one before and wasnt sure if i need to turn off water to the whole house or not...
- No, just the valves under the sink. It may be the sprayer is actually the failure point, they seem to get gunked up, and won't release, they sell a $5 kit to just replace the head on the sprayer, but they rarely work, save yourself the trouble and buy the $15 hose and sprayer kit to replace the whole thing altogether.
- Q:Wash basin from the tile on the wall from the use of glass glue or glue-free sticky? There are faucets and washbasin junction is also rusty, glass glue can stick to it?
- Glass glue is not strong, not you from the water mains on a three-way, with a PVC pipe connected by a water valve to do the faucet is also OK.
- Q:Kitchen basin basin faucet down how to repair
- Look at the leading buds and nuts have broken off? Not broken is the faucet and the bottom of the basin at the bottom of the faucet nut tightened just fine
