- Q: The faucets are Kohler faucets and they are probably not brass but are brass colored. Any suggestions you might have will be appreciated.
- if you aren't sure if it actually is brass i'm not sure how well of a job it will do in polishing it. Basically most polishes work by rubbing off the oxide that has formed. I'm not sure how brasso wil react with non-brass metals, the same way iwouldn't polish sterling silver with brasso. if anything might i suggest some sort of home concoction? I Think vinegar was something peoples used as polishing. It has an acidic property to help remove the oxide, but no chemicals to worry about that might mingle with the metal. I don't recall what else they mix with the vinegar. You can just google "home made polish" I'm sure it'llg ive you a list of them Well good luck with your fixtures.
