Q: how do i get rid of a carpet burn please help: The only thing you can do is cut in a new piece. My brother and I do flooring on the weekends. We have done this repair many times. You have to have the right equipment to do it right. (hot iron and seam tape) If the carpet is fairly old, you can also cut out the burn if it is small and re-seam at the cut. This is also done with a hot iron and seam tape.

Q: It is just a plain pink bathroom rug, that has like the rubber or whatever on the bottom. But it is dirty and needs cleaned, how can I do this??: You can put it in the washing machine. Use no hotter than warm water, though, or it could start to melt the rubber backing. Then tumble dry on low heat or let it hang dry. Just realize that this will cause the backing to come off eventually (maybe not the first couple times, but it will eventually). Then you can go get a new rug. If it's just dirt in the rug and it's not soiled, you can also take it out in the back yard and beat it with a stick (hit the top side of it) to remove loose dirt and debris. That's how they used to clean rugs back in the day when they didn't have machines to do it. People would hang their rugs on a clothes line and use a special device that looked like a tennis racket to beat the dirt out of the rugs.
