- The carpet will be opened, with a blower to dry.

- Are you working on a rug now? As you know, a rigid heddle loom has limitations. You can only do plain weave, and for a rug, this is just fine. If you are using rag strips, that is even better. The patterning will come from the colour of the horizontal stripes you are weaving. You can change them at will, or according to a set pattern. The patterns are only limited to your imagination! I would make a small drawing on paper and then just use coloured pencils or crayons to make horizontal stripes. If you have patterned material to work with, you may not need to make much of a design because the wefts (the cross threads) will make a design of their own. How wide is your rigid heddle? Most are fairly narrow -- perhaps up to 22 wide. Your rug is going to be quite narrow. You may want to piece two of them together side by side, and that offers further possibilities for creating a pattern. Just go wild!! You can do anything you want.

- You generally get what you pay for of course. Look for wear and stain blocker warranties. Longer warranties is a better carpet. Don t buy the notion of the big brand stain blockers are better, They are all the same. You don t pay for the advertising dollars of the no name stain blocker. Thickness in carpet only counts in the amount of yarns per square inch . Thickness in tallness do not always make a better carpet. Its the twists per thread length that make the better carpet. The actual truth is the shorter, the tighter ( twists) the better the carpet.And if the twists are heat set in. Ask a salesperson about this. If they know or can look it up then talk more with them. - Q:Most of the powder carpet freshners have so much perfume in them they trigger a migraine and I can't use them. Not to mention they are pretty pricey for what you actually get. Is plain ole' Arm Hammer baking soda a good alternative? Any other suggestions for freshing carpet?
- Plain ole' Arm Hammer baking soda is the best! Sprinkle it on and let it set for at least a couple of hours and overnight would be great. Then vacuum well.....................Good Luck!

- Some carpet stains can be removed with a paste of 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar and 1/4 cup salt or baking soda. Rub into the carpet stain and let dry. Vacuum up the residue the next day. (Always test on an out-of-sight part of the carpet first).

- I've never heard of it. It could be that this is the pattern name and not the manufacturer - you may try confirming at the store. Many designers/retailers don't want to give the names of what they are selling, since they don't want to be price-shopped either locally or online. Also, some carpets have several names, even though the manufacturer and the carpet are exactly the same! Larger stores have carpets under private label, but they may be the same as a dozen other carpets on the market. The manufacturers to this to create exclusivity for their dealers. It makes it hard as a consumer, but this is the reality.
- Q:Whats the best cleaner/chemical to get blood stains out of a rug? I was working on something in the trunk of my BMW 325i and i cut my finger. But the pool of blood wont come out of the carpet no matter what i try. Someone told me to try using milk but that didnt work either. I have to bring my car to get inspected and i need to get the stain out beforehand...Any suggestions?
- If you live near a Dollar Tree store they sell a cleaner called Awesome. i use this for everything. it got dark chocolate stains out of my white rug and blood stains off a shirt. if you cannot find that cleaner use Peroxide. this is used to clean wounds but it also get out blood. When my brother was cut badly his bedspread has a giant pool of blood. my mother poured peroxide on it and it fizzed and then it washed out. Good luck! I hope your not trying to hide a dead body...just kidding.
