- Q: I used RESOLVE High Traffic Carpet Cleaning Kit a few months ago. I didn't think it even worked, but to my dismay, I believe it has made my carpet dirtier. I probably should have tried getting some of the soap up, but I had no idea that leaving soap (even if the directions tell you that you only need to vacuum) that it could lead to the stains sticking more.So now, the areas that I used the product on have turn one shade away from black (we have white carpet).I just used a Bissell carpet steamer and the whole area looks the same!WHAT DO I DO?!I fear a professional won't be able to get it out either...

- If you find an 8 x 10 Persian rug for $250.00 on OKorder, you may be sure that it is not a handmade rug. It may be machine made, often Belgian, Persian-inspired, hand tufted or some other type of description but it will not be a genuine Persian hand knotted rug. It is easy to be fooled unless you read the description of the rug very carefully. I would suggest going to a knowledgeable dealer in your area and looking at his rugs and discussing them. They are often happy to help you.
- Q: I just refinished our hard wood floor and want to put down an area rug. Will the new woven backings hurt the finish?
- To be honest, yes they will. My in laws have beautiful walnut hardwood floors throughout their 3600 sq. ft. home and they placed their first area rug, and when they went to clean under it only a week later, there were faint markings that they were unable to buff out. Their solution? Non slip foam on a roll that can be found either where rugs are in the store, or in the dishes/dish drainers and silverware organizers aisle. They got thick enough foam, and put it in all four corners, and three in the middle, and have been so successful that they've gotten more rugs. They have a small dog, who causes enough damage just running around on it, so this solution seems to have helped. I hope you are as lucky as they were! ; )

- Oxidation causes it...it will also cause a carpet to turn yellowish is something is left in the same spot for a long period of time..... You need to move the rugs around, or leave them off for a while...wish I could tell you how to get the yellowing off, I can't.
- Q: Im replacing a carpet afrer one and a half year use.can i use the same padding under the existing carpet?
- You may be able to but it will depend on exactly what type of pad it is. Check 1 st with the place your buying the carpet from. There is a good possibility that there is no carpet warranty if pad isn t replaced. It will depend on what you have down now. If this is a rebond pad of 6# or more you should be able to use it.
