- Q: I just spilled coke on the cream colored carpet and just scrubbed it down with a wet wash cloth thoroughly. The problem is that I don't know if it will stain when it dries. How can I get the stain out if it occurs without ruining the carpet. I live in an apartment and don't want any damage.
- hi, i'm gettting this from a surprising e book we've pronounced as Spotless in basic terms all approximately cleansing and stain removing. (gentle drink / sugar stains on carpet) - For previous stains, stick to a pair glycerine to the stain with a cotton ball, and leave for a couple of minutes, then wipe it off with a sponge or textile. Sprinkle bi-carb soda over the stain and scrub it with a nylon brush. Then soak a clean white textile in vinegar, wring it out and place it over the bicarb soda. Stand on the textile so as that it absorbs the bicarb and the stain. you would be able to would desire to repeat this some situations. it could sound fiddly and a discomfort interior the bum technique, yet from my adventure it works. wish it helps.
- Q: I think Tide works great for brightening clothes and was wondering is there anything out there that brings out the color in older carpets (my carpets are about 7 years old and they are starting to fade in color).
- Get a carpet washer(I don't know what its called, but it shampoos your carpet and it looks like a vacuum, but you use water and soap in it), it may just be really dirty. If thats not the problem, then ask a carpet store, they would definitely know.
- Q: I am wondering as a general question how many rugs would you need im talking about bare minimal if you do not intend to show your horse but clip it so that it does not sweat alot while exercising. please list the rugs you feel are essential to have in the climate of south east england thanks so much for your time xx
- My minimum rug for North England is: Heavy weight, full necked (or detachable neck) turnout Medium weight turnout Lightweight rainsheet (no fill) Bug rug (my mare has sweet itch) Cooler Light weight stable Medium weight stable full necked heavy weight stable standard neck heavy weight stable is good but not absoultly essential Waterproof exercise sheet if you intend to work the horse regardless of weather, if you don't have access to an indoor school. This is my minimum for my cob mare, clipped (ranging from a full clip to a trace depending on work load). She's stabled at night and out every day. I'll often have 3 stable rugs on at night in the winter and I'd say our minimum temps are similar to South East as I'm in a pretty sheltered area and low. You could get away without the medium weight turnout but you do then need to use a stable rug under your rain sheet as there are a few months where they need some padding but not the full heavy weight.
- Q: I am about to buy new carpeting for the family room. The current carpeting is pretty regular carpet, although I don't know what the technical details are. The problem is that my son gets so upset because his toy cars and trains don't roll very well on the carpet and he tends to try to put them on tables, etc. or the hardwood. The cars, etc. do pretty well on the area rug, which isn't too thick. I need suggestions for the type of carpeting to buy that would allow cars and such to roll. Is it looped carpet? I know ti's strange request. Thanks!
- Is it a playroom or is it your adult family room? That makes a difference. It shouldn't be both. His room however is a different story. In his room put in carpet squares that are flat and can be removed and replaced as necessary. In your adult family room the carpet is your choice and not your sons. Every room in your home is not dedicated to what your son needs but what you need as an adult. Having children does not mean that every room in your home is dedicated to what they need. You have to have an adult living space that has nothing to do with children. Give him what he needs in his own room and nothing more.
- Q: My cat (Happy) pees all over this 1 rug we have. Happy is almost 13! And not fixed. Her mother also peed, on the 1 rug we have. Why is Happy doing it? How do it stop her?

- Q: I have a 4 month old who's crawling and walking while holding onto things. Needless to say, he's 4 months old and falls flat on his face quite often and just pushes himself along face down with his legs for a few seconds before picking himself back up. So he's got a rug burn on his nose...Any treatments for a quick cure? Aloe Vera, maybe?
- gotta love the first little baby bumps. no quick cures that i know of for rug burns, but some good lotion like aquaphor will help it heal and if you coat her nose with it before a crawling session it may act like a buffer lol. you could use neosporin so no scars, but i don't like putting that stuff on my babys face. my daughter gets the rug burns on her knees and elbows now that she is a little older. try getting her some babylegs to put over her legs (or arms if she'll let you) to prevent rug burns there. i have started making my own to match all her outfits lol. they're addicting! when it's hot here, i just let her crawl around with her dipe on and babylegs, nothing else. so they're usable in all weather. (best thing to use them for is the gap between the bottom of her pants and her socks when you put her in a carrier or stroller in the cold weather)
- Q: Hair Dye was spilled on the carpet a couple of months ago we tried a couple of things ,even the carpet cleaners could not get it out, any suggestions ?
- Go to a beauty supply store, like Sally's. They have a product that takes hair color off of things (can't think of the exact name right now, but they will know what it is.), it's cheap, and used to take color off of skin or clothes when color gets there. Try that. Try putting some of the solution on a towel and dab it onto the carpet.
- Q: which is best for a bearded dragon? sand or cage carpet? thanks
- Sand is hard to keep clean as it holds in bacteria and serves as a breeding ground for bacteria. It is also a common cause of intestinal impaction. I use non--adhesive shelf liner. It's cheap, looks great (lots of colors and patterns), easy to clean.
- Q: i found maggots in my carpet.how do i kill them..can i put salt on them..?
- it's time to freshen up your mess. Maggots are the effect of rotting flesh or rubbish. Your carpet might desire to be packed crammed with nutrients rubbish. the clothing are no longer the concern, properly, once you're a real slob they may well be, yet it is provided that they are coated in excrement or rubbish. you fairly might desire to freshen up the area, which will mean ripping out the carpet and sanitizing the comprehensive room. it is a wellness possibility.
- Q: What are the main differences between Persian and Oriental rugs (other than where they come from, obviously), and which is generally considered to be superior?
- Oriental Rugs By the strictest definition, Oriental rugs are carpets hand knotted only in Asia. Iran, China, India, Russia, Turkey, Pakistan, Tibet and Nepal are some of the biggest rug exporters. Persian Rugs Persian rugs also are Oriental rugs but they are made only in Iran (formerly known as Persia). An authentic Persian rug or carpet is hand knotted. Persian rug designs were once named after the city in which they were created. As their popularity increased, these patterns became produced elsewhere and kept their original names. Tabriz, Hamadan, Gabbeh, Heriz and Dubba are some of the most popular designs that have kept their regional namesakes. Characteristics of a Persian rug include an unusually thick pile (up to 160 knots per square inch), extremely rich color combinations and unique designs.
