Depending on the carpet, some carpets come with a stain free warranty of so many years (5-7 years). If your carpet was less than ?7.00 sqm, the possibility is that it has no stain free warranty. Ask your retailer about the carpet you bought, say your not happy with how dirty it has got in so little time. Ask them about the warranty. If the carpet has worn too fast, whether you have a warranty or not you can request a check. Process for replacement of faulty carpet; 1) inform the retailer of your carpets fault 2) The retailer will organise a visit by themselves or the manufacturer representative 3) If after a check your carpet is deemed faulty you will be given a form to fill in, put the fault, and your name e.t.c. the retailer or manufacturer representative will fill in the technical details, such as the position of the fault e.t.c. 4)Depending on the extent of the fault, but the representative will normally diagnose whether or not the fault will receive a automatic replacement or whether more testing will be required. 3) Wait up to 3 weeks to receive your replacement carpet; no money will be required from you, the manufacturer will pay for the replacement and fitting.

I have a large white rug in my living room and I guess from walking around the house with no socks on, there is a 2'x6' area that is darker than the rest, along with a few stains from spilled drinks.I have a bottle of some carpet cleaning foam with a cheap scrubber on the end but it's just too small to cover that large of an area.So I'm thinking a bucket and a rag might be the best option. I have since bought a small bathroom size mat over the area my feet go on but I'd like to clean it still.So maybe a bucket of warm water with a dab of dishwashing liquid detergent? Q: Scraping the carpet will not work, and we have tried tide, but still nothing. I cannot afford $50 cleaners or carpet people to come in. HELP PLEASE: Often paint on carpet is just on the very tips of the fibers. If this is the case you can just snip the paint off with sharp scissors. Just cut the very tips of the fibers. Work slowly. Don't cut a single millimeter more than you have to and pull up while cutting. This will help prevent divots in the carpet. Try your best to do just one or two fibers at a time...not a whole clump. This will work unless you have used solvents and have worked the paint deeper into the carpet. Good luck. -

Q: My color scheme is all earth tones, what should I do to cover said carpet?: You said the carpet is grey and beige...and your color scheme is all earth tones....with all the earth tones, this should bring out the beige tones in the carpet more than the grey, but if you want to disguise it a little more in open and high traffic areas, get a large area rug with predominantly earth tone colors and just a small bit of grey or blue. This will make the rugs blend easily with the grey tones in the carpet, but draw the eye to the rug not the carpet under it.
