In my project i have to build a thermosI need to build this cup that can store hot liquid for a long time without losing heatWhat should i use as my core?A mug?or a glass cup? It has to be able to survive very hot temperature so i wont use a styrofoam cup as that could melt.My next option is to wrap the cup with certain material that are good for insulation:What are you ideas on some insulators ?Some good insulators of heat that i could use are:Aluminum foilbubble wrapStyrofoambut you can state your ideas, you dont need to base your opinion on how to wrap the cup with only the materials i have shown
It has to be able to survive very hot temperature so i wont use a styrofoam cup as that could meltUnless your liquid is going to be over 100C ie boiling water, styrofoam is idealIf say molten lead then even the mug or glass may crack! good insulators would be a combination eg styrofoam cup with bubble wrap to cut conduction and convection with Al foil around outside to cut radiation losesDon't forget to do have a lid of the same materialsthis is where heat will be liable to escape.
I've never made baked beans beforeI looked up a recipe online and this is the recipe they have:2 cans of Pork and beans, liquid included1/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed4 green onions, chopped, stems included1 tablespoon of brown mustard2 tablespoons of ketchup4 strips of bacon, fried and crumbledMix all ingredients except bacon until well combined.Place in an oven proof casserole dish that has been prepared with non-stick spray and cover with foilBake at 350 degrees for 2 hoursRemove the foil and sprinkle bacon evenly over the topReturn uncovered to the oven and bake for an hour more.Three hours seems like A LONG TIMEto be in the ovenThat's how long it takes to roast a turkey!!!If you have a better baked bean recipe, please tell meAlso I'm thinking that in 2 hours it will be a hunk of charcoalHELP!!!
well see humans today are stupidWe'll try to figure some scientific way to do things and use technology to build or solve a problemHumans back then used nature, Logs and a huge piece of wood, you'd push a rock on top of that and then push the whole thing, the logs served as wheels so it made it easier, you put a human out in the woods today without any knifes or cell phones or anything, he's deadYour average field mouse has a better chance of survival

What's the difference between PET gold card paper and foil gold card paper? What are the characteristics?
The essential difference between the two is the different materials, PET is polyethylene, and aluminum foil is a metal rolling products, relatively speaking, aluminum foil has better light shielding and stiffness, the cost is higher.
I only have a 9 by 13 pan, can i make the quick bread in this? The directions on the box say a loaf pan but i don't have one.

I'm trying to react aluminum foil to hydrochloric acid to produce hydrogenI put the aluminum foil in the acid and a vapor/gas is produced but it is very caustic and doesn't float away like hydrogen wouldwhen I put a match to a large collection of it it ignites so I think the hydrogen is trapped in the chlorine gas or in the hydrochloric gas and it's all coming out mixxed together. How can I separate the hydrogen out or what is the gas that is coming out of the reaction?
I have several crocheted baby blankets for my son that my grandmother made for himShe smokes though, so all the blankets smelled like thatI washed them in my washing machine by themselves on a delicate cycle in a cold wash and then threw them in the dryer on air fluffIf for some reason you don't have a washing machine or dryer and you really want the smell gone, you could hand wash the blanket in your sink or tub with Dreft or Tide Free or some other non-irritating detergent and then hang them out to dry.
Hello there,I am going to prepare Moussaka and I am thinking of using a big all-purpse foil pan ( of Hefty E-Z foil ) for baking the mixtureWould that be a problem ? Do I have to increase/decrease the temperaure whilie using the foil pan ? I know it says all-purpose, but would that be good for Moussaka ? Is there any chance that aluminium would reach with the tomatoes in Moussaka ?
You may have a problem with the acidity of the tomatoes reacting with the pan and that could affect the flavor of the moussakaThe tomatoes would have to be touching the pan though, and as moussaka is a mixture of ingredients, that may not really be an issueOne idea might be to line the pan with parchment paper if you are really concerned about itOutside of that, the Hefty E-Z Foil pans are indeed all purpose and can be used just as you would use a regular roasting pan (time and temperature).
Is it aluminum or could it be something else with electrons taken out, so like carbon +1.
Assuming it's an atom, aluminiumAlso, it says element in your question, so definitely aluminium.
