4. Structure Characteristic

WQ series submersible sewage pump is equipped with status indicator and protection device to ensure for pump safe and reliable operating.

1). The unique cable airproof is adopted, avoid leakage of cable.

2).  Heat protector in stator assure of operating life of the motor.

3).  The pump adopts outer recycling cooling design with motor power more than 18.5kw, which can keep the pump operating safely under the lowest water level.

4).  A floating switch is installed at the bottom of motor chamber to protect the mechanical seal in the motor side.

5).  The oil-water probe is installed at the up end of the oil chamber between pump and motor that can protect the mechanical seal in the side. If leakage occurs, the system will signalize and start protection.

6).  Adopt perfect mechanical seal, the sealing material adopt tungsten carbide, silicon carbide and hard metal alloy, which can prevent the water from entering into the motor, and keep the operating reliable and safety.

7).  The auxiliary impeller can balance the pressure outside of the mechanical seal, prevent the water entering into the oil chamber and prolong the life of the motor.

8).  Unique impeller design, wide passage allow large solid and long fiber passing through freely, it features non-clog, convolve-proof and good passing ability.

9).  The changeable wearing ring is installed between the impeller and the volute to keep the optimum operation conditions.

5. Impeller Design Characteristics

For the feculence pass freely, it must be widen the flowing passage of impeller, for the big pump, can used for double-vane, or three-vane, for the small pump, it used for single(double) flowing passage, like a bent pipe has same section, it has a good passing characteristic, avoid stop, convolve caused by slowing current possibly. The especially flowing passage of impeller, cooperate with logical volute, made the paper, soft goods, garbage bag and other material in sewage can passing freely and the pump have no vibration in the course of running-in and load through the impeller balance between dynamic and static state.

Q: I need information about basic water pumps. I'll have to build a mechanical one for school. Do you have any ideas, information, designs, links? Thanks!
A very simple and old design for a water pump is called the ball-chain or bucket-chain pump. A google search should show you what they are. Building one should be fairly straightforward and simple.
Q: An engineer is given the job of designing the water system for a tall building. He decides to locate the pumps at ground level and feed the entire building from there. If the top floor of the building is 236 m above ground level, what must the pressure be at pump level?
Adding to Colin's answer, in addition to pgh, you also must add the atmospheric pressure, which is the pressure caused by the air at roughly the Earth's surface, unless whatever vessel the engineering is trying to pump the water into is a vacuum or otherwise not exposed to the air outside. atmospheric pressure: 1 atm = 1.013 x 10^5 Pa
Q: Can I charge the battery (1.2Vx2) with the suction tube submerged in the water or do I have to remove the suction tube every time I have to charge the battery?
Since you don't mention the model of the pump, if you can connect the charger with a dry connection, you should not have to remove the pump/tube. If you have to take the battery out, you stand the risk of dropping it in the water putting it back, but obviously (I think) you don't have to remove the pump/tube.
Q: how to install a main pipe water pump to service the community?
Installation of water pump is very easy, any certified plumber and electrician can install electric water pump. Your question maybe is, how to design water pump water system to service the community? To determine the correct rating of water pump to be used and to design a water system, here are the steps : 1) Determine the safe discharge yield of your well for your water source, by series of tests. This will enable you to know discharge rate of well and the draw back time of water after pumping. This data will be used for designing a pump (its discharge capacity). Note that pump discharge capacity should be lower than well safe yield capacity in order not to drain the well. 2) Determine the suction lift or height of water table in the well by measuring the height from water table up to the top of the well. This data will be used for pump design (its suction lift/height capacity). Pumps suction lift varies depends on its Horsepower capacity and the type of pump (submersibble or centrifugal). 3) Determine number of households in the community. This data will be used for the design of reservoir (tank) for your water system and the number of hours for the pump to operate to fill the tank. Note that the average usage of water is 120 liters per day per capita. So the more the number of population, the bigger the tank and the longer the pumping time in order to meet the per capita usage. 4) Determine the elevations from your water source towards the community to be served. Use survey instrument to determine the elevations. This data will be used to design a height of the tank and the sizes of service pipes towards the community. The higher the difference in elevation from your source towards community, the lower the height of the tank and the smaller the sizes of service pipes. Sizes of service pipes can be determined by hydraulic heads (heights). By following these steps, I gues you can now design and construct a water system.
Q: water flow at faucet only when pump is running, but flow is slow
Most RV water pumps have a pressure switch. They shut off a few seconds after you initially turn them on because they have pressurized the line. Once you open a water valve (faucet/toilet) the pump will start running again. Low flow could be caused by the size of the pump, size of plumbing, or line blockage.
Q: Is the water lamp in the basement water pump fluorescent or waterproof?
No specific requirements are available
Q: I've noticed after driving my car for a while recently it squeals while accelerating. I'm wondering if its the water pump cause I've had a coolant leak for a while. I poured alluminum sealer in the reservoir and its stopped the leak almost completely though. If it was a broken pump, would this sealer have stopped the leak like it has? I drive a 2000 saturn sl2

Q: Whats the difference between a faulty water pump and head gasket? The coolant reservoir has a quot;bubblingeffect when the car is running. I just changed the radiator and filled it. Most of whats in the radiator is water honestly. The car sounds a little rough and sputtery like a head gasket. The spark plugs are dry and I took the cover off and nothing looked watery or moisturous. I also had to change the head and head gasket a month ago. The head gasket didn't have any damage to it so I assumed the head was bad. I used a new head gasket also. Anything else I can check? The car is a 91 corolla.
If you had a faulty water pump, your car would overheat. Check to see what's blowing out of your exhaust pipe. If you have any smoke coming out of there WHILE you're driving, you have a faulty head gasket or it was installed improperly. Are you losing coolant? If so you might want to by a kit that can determine if you have a head gasket leaking or a cracked block or head. You also could have air in the system and need to bleed the cooling system.
Q: When the pump is connected in parallel, will the head and flow change?
Depends on how you do it.If you have a pump, the original network is the same, you add a pump, the result is the head and flow increases, the efficiency also changed, increase the number of head and flow, depending on the network characteristics, network characteristics such as steep increase, economy is also poor, which is not recommended. In fact, the actual flow of two pumps plus the actual lift equal, the problem is that the head, flow point of operation has changed. If it is new design, according to the required flow calculation of the required head, according to the head, half of the flow to select the pump, that is, two pumps flow volume, lift equal.
Q: I REPLACED MY WATER PUMP ON MY 1988 CHEROKEE,THE NEW PUMP STARTED MAKING THE SAME BEARING NOISE.
this probably a dumb question but have you changed the bearing in the idler pulley? i have a 89 jeep that squeaks or squeals, bearing noise, just one bolt takes it off. i pulled mine off and greased the bearing, and put it back in, that took care of the noise. that was 6 months ago and it is starting again so i priced a new bearing, $6, you might need the number off the bearing to order it. make sure u just get the bearing, the whole idler pulley is like $40. I'm only suggesting this cause in my experience water pumps don't squeal, they kinda make a scraping noise then shortly later stop all together. if the pump wasn't leaking it might not have been broke. some times it is the simplest things
