3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet
Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

- Q:where can I find free pattern to weave a rug on a rigid weaving loom?
- Are you working on a rug now? As you know, a rigid heddle loom has limitations. You can only do plain weave, and for a rug, this is just fine. If you are using rag strips, that is even better. The patterning will come from the colour of the horizontal stripes you are weaving. You can change them at will, or according to a set pattern. The patterns are only limited to your imagination! I would make a small drawing on paper and then just use coloured pencils or crayons to make horizontal stripes. If you have patterned material to work with, you may not need to make much of a design because the wefts (the cross threads) will make a design of their own. How wide is your rigid heddle? Most are fairly narrow -- perhaps up to 22 wide. Your rug is going to be quite narrow. You may want to piece two of them together side by side, and that offers further possibilities for creating a pattern. Just go wild!! You can do anything you want.

- Whoa !! ...you dont need to pull the carpet... however it needs to be protected....most common is a canvas tarp sold in paint stores anywhere.....they wont leak thru.. and they are very sturdy so dont worry about tears also there is no need to tape them to the carpet. I am a handyman and painter and have used them for alot of jobs...they never wear out.

Carpet, carpet tile, or laminate?I ask because these stupid companies (Lowes, Home Depot, etc) keep making it seem like there's a difference between carpet and carpet tile and it seems like carpet tile is cheaper.Why would it be cheaper? - Carpet tile is sold in squares, either 12 or 18, and carpet well it is rolled, usually 12' long, smaller rooms can be done cheapest by getting remnants. Carpet is large variety's is easier to locate, while carpet tiles are usually plain,and of fewer variety's. The backing on carpet is of better quality and definatly stronger. The backing on carpet tile is thin and of course sticky due to the adhesive. Should your carpet get wet, the carpeet tiles do not do wet well. They after a while will pull up and have to be repaced, and it can be a larger job than thought as the surrounding tiles will look dirty. Laminate, well that is a different totally different look and feel.

- You okorder / ... You can also take these floors with you, no damage anything in the apartment with a new floor installation and leave the apartment looking just as you moved in when you left.... you can install them in your garage etc. when you get into another place. really easy great floors

- Yeah I like it. I think it would look good underneath a coffee table, or at the foot of a sofa, or just wherever as an area rug. I think it would look great. But I guess it all depends though because I don't know what your living room looks like. SO, I guess I really can't say. But yeah, I do like it.

- I wash my bathroom rugs on the delicate cycle in cold water and then in the dryer on the lowest heat setting. If you're talking about a plastic shower curtain liner...I used to wash mine and hang it either back in the tub or outside on the line. It wasn't long before it had little cuts in it though, so I don't know if you should do that. Sometimes I just soak it in the tub in some bleach water, though I should add that my plastic curtain isn't colored.
