Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q: The carpet in my store is about 5 years old. It has some places that have what looks to be a bubbles. Is there any glue that I could inject thou the carpet and put a weight on the place to hold it down?
Hi, former floor covering business owner here-yes you can purchase carpet glue and a syringe from Home Depot, Lowes, possibly Menards. If you are unable to find it there ask a local carpet store if they would sell you some. Tell them it is in a commercial area and is a safety hazard. They generally do not want to do the carpet repair for you and consider the job too small, and if they did they would charge a large labor fee. It could be that the surface (debris left on floor)the glue was originally placed on was not prepared properly or the environmental conditions(too cold, too hot) were not favorable. Also, perhaps the glue or carpet was defective. We were surprised to receive so many defective products and carpet and constantly found that we would have to consult our area representative to rectify customer complaints. Hope this helps............
Q: I'm going to redo the flooring in my bedroom, so I was checking options. Traditional carpet is not really in my budget, so I was thinking carpet tiles, I really have no idea about them so all the info will help. But what I want to know the most is the seams, are they noticeable or will they blend in? I'm thinking plush carpet tiles if that makes a difference.
Ideally, you need a sub-floor for carpet tiles. If you have hardwoods, you can ruin them with carpet tiles. Otherwise, I have carpet tiles in my attic, which is my kids bedrooms. I went with that style intentionally because they love anime and we went with an Asian decor. Here is where I also admit that the builders put in a sub-floor for us and gave us the carpet tiles for free...lol I love them. One of my husbands friends is a very handy person and helps with all the DIY, so he helped to lay them. There are no seams and I think they are perfect. Carpet companies usually have some carpet that they will sell for cheap. We had them lay a plaid carpet in our basement because it was good quality, but wasn't selling because its plaid. I love it. Its off white with navy and black lines. Perfect for our exercise room, my sewing room.and under the pool table. Made us get blue felt for the pool table and I think it's beautiful. Check with them.
Q: I just moved into a brand new house to then spill bright red nail polish all over the carpet any ideas on how to get it out without ruining the carpet?
This happened to me a few weeks ago. Mine was the ENTIRE bottle that my cat knocked over while I was asleep!! I got it out though!! You have to use a lot of nail polish remover....this will make it spread a little, but for me that was ok.. Once I got out what I could with the nail polish remover, I put a mixture of 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon ammonia on it and saturated it. After that, I put saran wrap over it and then put a stack of books on top of it and left it over night. This helped tremendously! Then I just used boiling hot water, carpet cleaner, and a little more nail polish remover to get the rest out. It worked too. I posted this same question when it happened to me, so check the link below to see what people said about it.
Q: Have you or anyone you know had any allergy problems after getting new carpet?
Yes, my daughter. Depending on the materials and such the carpet and padding can be treated with all kinds of chemicals to water or stain proof it or fire retardants and such. The material that the carpet is made out of can cause problems. Synthetic fibers in the carpet and the foam in the carpet padding can be the source of the problem. For my daughter it was dust mites and the foam padding. If stored in a moist warehouse the carpet could also have mold spores but just enough for the allergy stricken. If you haven't had allergy problems before then do several deep cleanings of your carpet and use an anti-allergy wash. Your local allergist can hook you up with a list of products and providers.
Q: shes always in the room that the rug is in and it makes her sneeze can it cause porblems for her ??? please help what should i do???

Q: Ha-ha, all jokes aside, this is a serious rug question. What do you call the type of rug that instead of being made out of yarn, is made out of jagged-cut t-shirt material hooked through rug backing? I want one but don't know how to search for it.

Q: please tell me how to tell whether or not to put a rug my horse, she lives out she is not clipped but she will be soon i live in cavan ireland so it can get cold so could someone tell me what signs i should look out for to tell when is the right time to put on a rug.p.s my horse is an irish sports horse if that makes a diffrence
Personally, I'd have her in a rug right now. I'm in Scotland and both mine are in middleweights - its dropping to near 0 degrees at night already and I wake up to frost. When she gets clipped she MUST have some form of rug on with weight in it unless its gorgeous weather - when you take away their coat its like taking away our clothes and expecting us to stand in the cold - we can't heat ourselves up and so we get cold very quickly. This is what I said for another answer. Weather for no rugs / fly rugs - HOT weather with no / little breeze. Weather for a rainsheet - Rain but no wind. Weather for a lightweight - Rain with wind, or just wind. Weather for a mediumweight - Rain with a lot of wind, just wind or cold temperatures (basically, as I don't feel the cold, the minute I need to be putting on a jacket is mediumweight weather) Weather for a heavyweight - The coldest it gets. Snow. Below freezing temperatures. Last year in the worst of it I did put a heavyweight stable rug under a heavyweight turnout, it got that cold.
