Q: I could see how it could benefit certian classes of commercial trucks,heavy equitment;ect!but what about passanger cars though?: well look at ethanol for instance it damages fiberglass plugs the fuel system over time many in the marine world have allready had the issue with ethanol being added to diesel. hybrids have no true savings. a good tuneup and remapping of the ineffecient computer a cold air intake good flowing exhuast and proper tire inflation per tire manufacturer not vehicle manufacturer can make any gas vehicle far more effieceint

You start the engine and connect the electrical load to the generator buss. If you are connecting to a grid or existing power system then you need to match the frequency of the grid. As to advantages and disadvantages, you need to state what you want to compare it to and how large the generator or system is.

Q: I want to build a little shack in the bush where i can hang out with friends. Nothing special no plumbing maybe diesel generator very small and possibly a wood stove. What supplies should i use for walls, floor, ceiling and roof. will be built on private land hidden in back roads. This would just be a place to hang out on weekends and not really a place to live. What else should be included and what is important stuff to know: I went to a friends deer camp a few years ago. Their shack was 4-walls, covered with exterior plywood, and a shed roof covered with corrugated tin. The floor was natural dirt, was lumpy because of the gophers made mounds under the old carpet. They had some old shelves, and a metal tub for washing dishes, and a shack made the same way out back for a latrine. No windows, winter use only, with a generator for electricity. Most of the time we were outside sitting around a campfire having cocktails. Go buy a Time, Life book, or a book at Home Depot, or Lowe's to show you how to frame up your shack. You probably will want a little fancier than this one.
