Q:Did some searching, and found little other than single, model specific, manuals (either paper or on CD). The paper manuals are $50-60 each. Single model PDF manuals on CD are about $20.Does anyone know if a comprehensive set of shop service manuals is even available for Yamaha Portable Generators? (gas and diesel) I don't mind paying, but I don't want just ONE manual, I want 'em all. That way I don't have to go through this again when a different model Yamaha comes into my shop. TIA for any help!:-) ?

you need to look at the power requirements of the air conditioner of 2 tons it should indicate it's power requirements.

A diesel engine is started (like an automobile) by turning over the crankshaft until the cylinders fire or begin combustion. The starting can be done electrically or pneumatically. Pneumatic starting was used for some engines. Compressed air was pumped into the cylinders of the engine until it gained sufficient speed to allow ignition, then fuel was applied to fire the engine. The compressed air was supplied by a smallauxiliary engine or by high pressure air cylinders carried by the locomotive. Electric starting is now standard. It works the same way as for an automobile, with batteries providing the power to turn a starter motor which turns over the main engine. In older locomotives fitted with DC generators instead of AC alternators, the generator was used as a starter motor by applying battery power to it.
Q:I want to buy a portable generator for power-outages and need some advice on which to buy. I want to run: at least one refrigerator possibly a stand-alone freezerbasic lightinga few outlets a sum-pump. I also need to provide power to my heat in the winter Our heat is natural gas but it needs to be lit with the pilot light and I guess the thermostats need power. Preferrably diesel so we can store fuel safer. Your idea of a diesel is good. Look on the back of both all appliances and find the plate that tells how many watts and amps they use and copy them down. Make a list of what will be plugged into the outlets and if possible get the amps and wattage of those and add it to your list, same with sump pump. Now take that list to a dealer and show it to them and they will figure out what size generator you will need. Do not guess what size generator you will need, most underestimate The size and often by a large amount. Let an expert that is in the business do the figuring. Most answers on here go by widely varying assumptions and uneducated guesses, depending on any of them could result in your system watts being way off. You might be paying for a system several times too large or small if you rely on these answers. Either way it could get very expensive and wasteful.

There are only two real choices, batteries, or a gasoline/diesel driven generator. To store that amount of power via batteries, you would need about 11 large auto batteries. A 100 amp-hour lead acid battery can store about 1 kW-hour, and you need 0.6kWx18hr 11 kW-hour. You need marine deep discharge batteries and they cost about $300 each, plus charger costs, so a generator would be cheaper. You can get a 800 watt generator for $300. OR if outside home is literal, you can run a long extension cord.

Q:I recently purchased a book on how to make a hydrogen generator that mentions either gas or diesel. However common sense tells me that a diesel engine requires some sort of lubrication such as cooking oil etc. I have tried to send a email but cannot get an answer. Does anyone out there know if hydrogen will work in a diesel engine without burning the valves out quickly.

Q:Hello, I am putting an HHO generator, which is metal plates in water in pvc pipe, into my small pickup truck. I am having a bit of trouble finding an EFIE unit though, which is the boy that goes in line in front of the 02 sensor, to give it a bit more juice and stop it from dumping more gas in when it thinks there is not enough air (but way too much HHO) in the system.Are there any automotive forums that you all would direct me to? And if not, are there any manufacturers of finished EFIE units, or even kits to build them, on the internet or elsewhere for me to utilize?I want to get this done before I leave for college. Gas prices suck!
first off, there is no such chemical called HHO, if you paid for plans to get HHO, you bought a scam. You might be able to get your money back if you report it to the FTC. These scammers put you on a wild goose chase looking for all kinds of things that will make their scam perform. They hope you will get tired of trying. An EFIE is a system that attemps to bypass a pollution control system. If you bypass it, you could recieve a $25,000 fine a jail time, so go ahead. I'm forwarding your questions about bypassing the device to the EPA, they may contact you in the future.
