Q:I am trying to use a marine deep cycle battery and power inverter to power a chest freezer in an ice cream truck. The issue is that the marine battery will drain in a few hours. I was told told that I could connect the inverter to the car battery as well as the marine battery and while the engine is running, the car battery would be charge the marine battery through the inverter. Can anyone tell me how this works and how I should do the wiring?thanks: It will work but you need a battery charger as well, hook the inverter to the vehicles battery, then pulg the charger into the inverter, and then have the charger hooked to the marine battery. Why not just get a small generator or a 110v freezer and run it directly off the inverter or generator? You can plumb the generator into the fuel tank of the truck so you don't have to worry about filling the generator. If the truck is diesel get a diesel generator, gas for gas.

Q:avr is automatic voltage regulator for power generators: If you mean the build-in pcb of a fuel/diesel generator which build-up voltage initially and then keep it stable under any load, then read this: First you need to see your generator minimum requirements to determine specs of AVR. You will probably found a label on generator with those Information: Ex. volt (maximum excitation voltage) Ex. amp (maximum excitation amperage) Your AVR output must exceed those specs. If generator is brushless type in most cases it does. Also input voltage of AVR must be the same as output of generator (ex. 110V110V, 220V220V). If generator is triple phase then you can do the same (ex. 380V380V, 440V440V) but if generator have output in star formation then you can use node for a smaller voltage of AVR (ex. 380V220V, 440V253V). If generator work in parallel operation (usually marine main generators does) then things get complicated. In this case AVR is good to support current transformer to make generator more elastic under load fluctuations and match other generators in the same circuit.

Q:i want to put three phase current of two diesel generating sets in only three phase.: you will need to govern them together, other wise if one is running slightly slower than the other the slower one will act as a motor and not a generator/ alternator. so both must turn at the same rpm speed. then its just wiring configuration delta - delta or Y - Y configurations.

Q:I am planning to buy a 20 KVA Diesel Generator. Both the vendors are confusing me over Air cooled and Liquid cooled engines. Can anyone help me to understand the pros and cons of the said engines for a commercial requirement.: Air cooled: bigger, noisier, hotter, dirtier, simpler to maintain, more expensive, no freezing risk, burn more engine oil. Liquid-cooled: all the opposite than above.

The motion could either come from a bicycle that can be pedalled or a wind turbine. You would have to buy a large motor. Attach one end of the motor to a diode, and the other end to a battery, or your house. Attach the other end of the diode to the other terminal of the battery, or your house. Use either a fan blade or a bicycle to turn the pole in the motor. This will generate electricity. Assuming that you are a good cyclist, you could generate about 100w. An energy saving lightbulb is 11w so you would have to pedal hard to keep the house powered up. Buying old batteries probably costs more than the electricity from the mains. If you do buy solar panels and wind turbines, you can sell any excess energy back into the national grid, as well as powering your house.
