- Use hairspray but the kind in an aresol can and dab don't rub, keep using fresh paper towel, I've gotten pen and grease out of coats, carpet etc with it but the trick it to dab and keep using fresh paper towel. Also when you get to just a bit left scrub it with TSP Tri Sodium Phosphate worked for me with chinese red candle spill on my beige carpet, it was aa wool carpet worked really well, with candle paper towel and an iron, ink just paper towel and aresol hairspray. - usually we send our rugs to special rug n carpet washing places, and i think it's really difficult to wash them by yourself , so find a good place and send it .
- Q:wax cleanup from rug
- I have used an iron and a cloth to get wax out of the carpet before. Lay the clth over the area and then apply a warm iron to the cloth, Hold it in place for awhile and then remove it. If I remember correctly, I had to do it about 20 times to get all the wax removed, but it worked.
- Q:Someone that moved in with me recently broke the wireless internet adapter to my computer and since I haven't figured out how to fix it I think it may be easier for me to just run a wire from the router to my computer. - Instead of sewing on the Velcro, use a stapler, with the flat side of the staple on the back of the rug. The bent prongs will be hidden in the nap of the weave on the front side. If you have to sew it, use a very thick upholstry needle, or one for counted cross stitch. The needle is very heavy and has a broad eye. Use a small piece of rubbery plastic to grip the needle as it goes through the Velcro and rug. Use quilting thread or buttonhole twist, doubled and run through a piece of candle or beeswax.

- Yes, vacuum your room at least once a week. A carpet rake will keep it groomed, many homemaker's use them to keep the carpet looking neat and orderly.

- Depending on how big your house is, it can take about half a day to steam clean wall to wall carpeting. Most companies will be able to work around furniture, but obviously it's better if you can move as much furniture as possible so that the cleaners can clean as much carpet as possible. You'll want to open up your windows after the carpet cleaning has been done to air out your rooms (and with this heat, to quicken up the drying time). If you are talking about cleaning hand made rugs, then cleaning is done off site and you generally have to wait 2-3 weeks for the professional cleaners to return your carpet.
