- There's an old low-tech technique for copying things like this that's been used for many years. Make a photocopy of your original. Draw a grid over it, using a ruler and being very precise. Or, photocopy your image onto grid paper. Draw a grid on your rug base -- yes, use a ruler and be very precise. Make sure the grid on your rug base has the same number of squares as the grid on your aper. They will be different-size squares, of course, but make sure there are the same nuber of squares. Now, carefully copy the contents of each grid square from the paper to the rug base. Turn the whole thing (yep, both the paper and the rug base) upside-down and work that way if you have trouble copying it right-side-up. You will find it much easier to copy one square at a time, and you'll have an excellent pattern for your rug. Have fun!

- Price will tell you the quality. But in general look how thick it is. Thin carpets are usually not the best quality.

- Long lasting carpet, over all is 100% nylon. Whether its a berber, plush , textured or a frieze. Watch out for free labor ( I never worked for free do you?) I have all the faith in Mohawk they covered their warranties. Very important, don t skimp on pad. Get the best you can afford. And have it in writing the pad will cover the manufactures warranty. Some sales and advertised sales will include a cheap pad. Pads support the carpet and prevent the carpet backing from breaking down premature. Vacuum every few days. Carpet makers say to do it every day. Have carpet clean professionally by a certified cleaner. Have it done on a regular basis. Have every thing in writing. This will include the type, color style what weight pad, whos doing the rip out and disposal of the old. Whos moving the furniture ( in and out) Take advantage of 90/180 12 month same as cash but do it the proper way and don t miss a thing. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. - A rough estimate is approximately $1500.00. There are however many different brands of carpet. Whatever brand you choose, you'll want a good quality carpet padding. Also you did not state if you are going to need old carpet removed. If you do, this is an added cost. Are you installing the carpet yourself. Not recommended if you have not done this before. This is also an added cost if you'll need it installed. The best of luck to you! It's fun to redecorate, if only it weren't so darn expensive!!!

- I was unable to open the links but I have seen this done on home decor shows before. If the bottom rug is much larger than the top one, it can look perfectly fine. People do this a lot to cover stains on wall to wall carpet when they can't afford to replace it. Buy the fur rug if you like it, if it doesn't work on the blue rug, put it elsewhere or return it. You have to follow your gut on this one.

- Not a very nice thing to say about your mother. Bleach does not stain. (Now who looks soooooo smart) It has no color, it is a color remover. Nothing you can do to fix it on carpet but remove the carpet or replace it.
