Q: I recently bought an ikea rug, which isn't exactly an area rug, but is big enough not to put in a washer. I vacuum it regularly, but it is a white rug with big colourful blobs, and the dirt off of my feet can be seen in certain spots.. I was wondering if anyone knew how to clean it.. Q: This must sound like a really dumb question, but...I'm still a novice with horses, and one of my stable jobs is putting rugs on the horses to be turned out.And I have quite a lot of trouble getting the rugs on, especially as the horses are 17-18 hands, and the rugs are volumus! I end up with them spilling about in my arms, and by the time the thing is on the horses back, it's inside-out! I feel such an idiot when people are watching me!I wonder if anyone here could give me some tips, especially on how to have the rug before putting it on, and how to actually get it up on the horses back in the first place, without getting in a mess.: it is a bit of a case of trying to flip it up onto horses back, just takes practise with the big boys!!!! to do it the bhs way fold the rug in half with the tail flap on top of the neck bit, flip it onto the horses neck, well up on the neck, fasten front buckles/clips. fold the back half of the rug back into place over the bum and fix surcingles/clasps at side then any fillet string/leg straps at the back. you can tug it back a little but dont pull it back completely snug against the horses chest as th rug will pull back during the day so its good to have a bit of give to start with. this is tghe correct way to do it (albeit ithout the pinickity little bits like clipping up the unused straps etc!!!) definately before putting it on have it folded in half across the way tho - working with a half size is much easier. hold it halfway down as you flip so the momentum carries the far side of the rug over the back then use the front bit to give a bit of a tug and push to get it squared up!!!! dont worry about the people watching - nobody looks cool putting a rug on a massive horse!!!!! just practise and finding your own routine will make this job go quickly (you'll be doing it all in 30 seconds or less before you know it).

Q: The rug does lays down and doesn't roll back up, it just keeps quot;crinklingquot; up and Ill pull it to straighten it out and 5 min. later its all wrinkly again......it lays on carpet, what can I do?: Time and gravity is your solution. If you plan on having your rug in the same position for a while, then it is worth applying some pressure to the rug. Move some furniture, bookcases, weights. You need to weigh down the whole rug, not just the corners. Put extra weights on the corners though. You could even turn the rug upside down and put the weights on it for a while. The idea is to erase the rug's memory of being rolled up. Another tip is to hang the rug over a clothes line in the sun for a while. This will flatten it out. Make sure the color and pattern side is not facing up to the sun or it might fade.

Q: How can I remove wax from may carpet?: Use boiling water to the melt the wax , it'll float over the water and you can suck it it up with a wet dry vaclum cleaner. you must do qiuck before it get in to the carpet again with the water. Off course, you have to remove the large portion of it by breaking it with your hand or a scraper. Be carefull not to caut the carpet. Good Luck!
