- Q: What is the reason for the arch rise after the carpet is cleaned?
- Because it deforms affected by moisture .
- Q: I have a small rug on my carpet in my bedroom and for a few days it got flipped halfway over, and now there is a huge role in it. I tried flipping it the other way for a few days but it was still there. any tips?
- Lay the rug flat on the floor and put heavy books on top of the creased part. Leave the books on the rug for at least 5 days. The books will smash the wrinkle out. You might want to put the rug in a spot where it won't be in the way. :) -
- Q: What is the best way to get a VERY yucky white carpet clean???I have a carpet shampooer and it doesn't seem to do the job. Do you know of any good pre-treaters or tricks I should know?
- For heavily soiled carpets, shampooing is recommended, rather than spot-cleaning. Wet-cleaner machines spray and remove hot detergent solution while cleaning the carpet. Instructions Difficulty: Moderately Easy Step One Purchase or rent a wet-cleaner machine also known as a steamer, at a hardware or grocery store. When you rent a machine, the necessary cleaning products are usually included or can be purchased at the rental store. Step Two Vacuum the floor thoroughly. Step Three Spray heavily soiled areas with prespray or traffic-lane cleaner. For really dirty areas, increase the amount of prespray used instead of increasing the amount of carpet shampoo. Step Four Fill the machine's hose or reservoir with hot tap water. Step Five Use the machine and carpet shampoo according to the steamer manufacturer's instructions. Step Six Maximize the amount of water removed from the carpet by making a water-extraction pass with the water spray on, and then again with the spray off. Test the carpet with your hand. If your hand comes away with water droplets, extract again with the spray off; if your hand comes away damp and the carpet feels wrung out, you have extracted correctly. Step Seven Wait overnight for the carpet to dry before walking on it. To dry thoroughly, open windows and use fans. Tips Warnings * Special solutions are available to treat pet stains and odors. * To help your cleaning last longer, neutralize detergent residue left on the carpet by steaming with a vinegar-water rinse made up of 1 c. vinegar and 1 gallon water. * Oversaturating the carpet can cause water to soak through and damage the floor underneath.
- Q: I recently bought an ikea rug, which isn't exactly an area rug, but is big enough not to put in a washer. I vacuum it regularly, but it is a white rug with big colourful blobs, and the dirt off of my feet can be seen in certain spots.. I was wondering if anyone knew how to clean it.. I was just going to buy a carpet cleaner and scrub it, but there are multiple spots with dirt. Also, I'm not sure if the colours are going to bleed if I try to do that.. I don't really want to buy a steam cleaner, but I guess if that is my only option.. but again i don't want the colours to bleed.Any info is appreciated! Thanks!
- I okorder where they seems to be giving $250 IKEA gift card that you might want to check if you like IKEA stuff. I just filled it up a couple days ago, You just need a valid e-mail because they will send you the details asking your mailing address to send you the gift card. Hope it comes, worth a shot, since it's just took me 3 minutes.

They are pretty cheap and look quite good. i was looking at them on OKorder by a seller called ridelouk, they look good to me, but has anyone bought one? You can get a 300g combo Axiom for ?24.99 which i thought was quite amazing. :D One of the Axiom rugs i was looking at:http://cgi.OKorder .uk/AXIOM-1200D-RIPSTOP-BLU-NVY-180G-HORSE-RUG-63_W0QQitemZ370357975347QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Horse_Wear_Equipment?hash=item563b0e3933thanks, any help greatly appreciated

- Q: No, I dont mean dancing! I have hardwood floors in my bedroom. I want to buy carpet, but the room is an odd shape. Is it easy to cut myself, and would I only need special scissors? Or should I pay to have someone do it for me?
- I suggest you pay someone to install the rug professionally, then you would have more time if you decided to actually, Cut A Rug. lol
- Q: i want to shampoo my carpet using over the counter items?? how do i start with it?

- Q: This must sound like a really dumb question, but...I'm still a novice with horses, and one of my stable jobs is putting rugs on the horses to be turned out.And I have quite a lot of trouble getting the rugs on, especially as the horses are 17-18 hands, and the rugs are volumus! I end up with them spilling about in my arms, and by the time the thing is on the horses back, it's inside-out! I feel such an idiot when people are watching me!I wonder if anyone here could give me some tips, especially on how to have the rug before putting it on, and how to actually get it up on the horses back in the first place, without getting in a mess.
- it is a bit of a case of trying to flip it up onto horses back, just takes practise with the big boys!!!! to do it the bhs way fold the rug in half with the tail flap on top of the neck bit, flip it onto the horses neck, well up on the neck, fasten front buckles/clips. fold the back half of the rug back into place over the bum and fix surcingles/clasps at side then any fillet string/leg straps at the back. you can tug it back a little but dont pull it back completely snug against the horses chest as th rug will pull back during the day so its good to have a bit of give to start with. this is tghe correct way to do it (albeit ithout the pinickity little bits like clipping up the unused straps etc!!!) definately before putting it on have it folded in half across the way tho - working with a half size is much easier. hold it halfway down as you flip so the momentum carries the far side of the rug over the back then use the front bit to give a bit of a tug and push to get it squared up!!!! dont worry about the people watching - nobody looks cool putting a rug on a massive horse!!!!! just practise and finding your own routine will make this job go quickly (you'll be doing it all in 30 seconds or less before you know it).
- Q: The rug does lays down and doesn't roll back up, it just keeps quot;crinklingquot; up and Ill pull it to straighten it out and 5 min. later its all wrinkly again......it lays on carpet, what can I do?
- Time and gravity is your solution. If you plan on having your rug in the same position for a while, then it is worth applying some pressure to the rug. Move some furniture, bookcases, weights. You need to weigh down the whole rug, not just the corners. Put extra weights on the corners though. You could even turn the rug upside down and put the weights on it for a while. The idea is to erase the rug's memory of being rolled up. Another tip is to hang the rug over a clothes line in the sun for a while. This will flatten it out. Make sure the color and pattern side is not facing up to the sun or it might fade.
- Q: How can I remove wax from may carpet?
- Use boiling water to the melt the wax , it'll float over the water and you can suck it it up with a wet dry vaclum cleaner. you must do qiuck before it get in to the carpet again with the water. Off course, you have to remove the large portion of it by breaking it with your hand or a scraper. Be carefull not to caut the carpet. Good Luck!
