- Q:How much air pressure should my back tires have on my Infiniti G35?
- Which Infiniti G35? 2-door, 4 door? What model year? What tire size? With this car there are a lot of variables. A 2006 Coupe for example with 17-inch wheels requires 30 psi front and rear but with 18-inch wheels requires 35 psi front and rear where a sedan with 17-inch wheels requires 30 psi front and rear and 33 psi if fitted with 18-inch wheels. The vehicle information tag should tell you what the correct inflation pressures are for your model. This is usually found inside the drivers door frame on most cars but your Infiniti is a Nissan product and they like to hide this in weird places like inside the lid of the center arm rest.
- Q:Why are there tires on car tires? Why?
- Those who are balancing tires, do not tear it, or it is easy to eat tires, but also to play a balance.
- Q:When I had my tires rotated last month, Family Tire (the place where I got my tires rotated) told me that I would need 4 new tires by October because they would be worn out by then.I went to a mechanic a week ago, he said that the tires looked fine.My girlfriend says we shouldn‘t need to get the tires rotated because the tires were Sumitomo which, to my understanding, is supposed to be the best tire you can get.I can‘t tell if they‘re worn out or not. Is there a way to tell? I don‘t want to drive on the highway and suddenly get a flat and get in an accident.
- My friend, don't down shift, unless it's absolutely necessary to avoid a major accident. Reason for this, brakes were made to take the stress of stopping a vehicle. The transmission was not. It cost less to fix the brakes, than to replace the transmission. I see this all the time at the mechanics shop I used to work at. Particularly in standards. The brakes are there for a reason, just like the emergency brake. Think of it this way. Your going 70 mph on the highway, and you down shift, either a manual or a standard transmission, to the next gear. You are now putting the centrifical force of either the flywheel (standard) or the torque converter (automatic) at a 70 mph speed, probably around 2 -1/2 to 3 thousand rpms, to the next gear down. This pre-maturely wears out each type of these units. Automatic transmission rebuilds can cost up to $1,500 or more depending on the type. Standards slightly less. New ones can run around $3,000 or more, also depending on type. Your hybrid comes with a 600 lb. battery. The weight of about 2 passengers. It gets it's charge from a dyno while in motion. This battery is costly to replace. At one time it's cost was around $10,000, and it has to be removed with a small crane. Now the cost is lower, but not worth the headache to pay to replace it still. I hope you please take what I am stating into extreme consideration. This won't answer your question, but hopefully save you alot of money and headaches in the long run.
- Q:how long can we usually drive with a spare tyre in a passenger carhow many times can we use it.any safety tips while driving with a spare tyre, that needs to be followed
- on a spare tire mainly a donut, your not supposed to exceed the speed of 40 mph. Also if your car is FWD you shouldn't have the spare on the front tires as it will throw off your front balancing and destroy your axle differential. In terms of how long it lasts, look at its threat life on the tire, as you would on any other tires.
- Q:wher can i buy new tires onlinegive me some trusted websites please.
- Discount tire direct and Tire rack. Discount tire has free shipping and excellent prices. I have bought 6 sets from them.
- Q:What is the use of radial tires in bikes ?
- Radial okorder /facts_7282439_bias-v... Seriously...you could have googled this yourself. Seems pretty obvious by your previous questions you are oblivious to ANY knowledge of tires... BTW....an answer to one of your previous questions.....The MAJOR use for recycled tires in the US is for rubberized asphalt for roads. I get paid to pick up and dispose of used tires from tire shops. I take them to a recycling facility where they are chopped up, the steel belts are separated and recycled and then the rubber pieces and ground up into "crumbs" that are used to make rubberized asphalt for roads...... swm.maricopa /waste-tire.htm
- Q:Do you want to change your car tires?
- Not on the high-speed line
- Q:Hi everyone. I got some questions regarding tires that I need answered. I need to replace the tires on my infiniti, but need some info on how to buy proper tires. The tires I got on now says P215/55R17 93V.So my questions are: 1) If I buy tires, is it absolutely necessary to match all 4 numbers from the old tire, or is it ok to buy any kind as long as all 4 match? what numbers are essential to match?2) How can you tell if tires are in good condition?3) How can you tell if its snow tires, summer performance tire, or all-purpose tires by looking at it?Thanks a lot everyone for helping me out.
- The P is for Passenger car tire The 215 is the width of the tire tread in MM The 55 is the height of the tire wall and is expressed as a %age of the tread width. In this case 55% of the 215 120mm tread wall height. The R tells you it is a RADIAL ply tire. The 17 is the tire rim diameter in inches. The 93 is the load rating of the tire. The V is the speed rating of the tire. The tires on each axle must be the same for safe handling. Preferably, all four tires should match. Note that the speed and load rating of all of the tires is equal to the lowest rated tire. Just because you have a 200 mph rated tire, doesn't mean the others can also go 200 mph. Tires have a manufacture date molded into the tire wall near the bead. A four digit number with an oval around it in the format YYWW indicates that it was manufactured in 20yy, week number ww. So a number of 0632 means the tire was manufactured in 2006, week number 32 (about August). Avoid 3-digit manufacture date codes. These tires were manufactured BEFORE 2000 (very old tires even though they have never been mounted). Snow tires have a very deep tread and it wraps around to the side wall - very pronounced as opposed to regular tires. If the tires are new, and recently manufactured, the are most likely in good condition. Never buy used tires except in an emergency and only as a spare. Get a new tire for a spare. You can Google information on tire sizes and designations for more detailed info.

- Q:I need to buy tires for my car, but this is the first time I am buying tires. I have offers from Sullivan Tires and Town fair tires. Sullivan tires is offering me YOKOHAMA AVID TRZ for $70.87 (with 13.99 for balancing and $60 for alignment) while The Town fair tire is offering me BRIDGESTONE INSIGNIA SE200 for $72.00/tire (with 12.95 for balancing and front alignment INCLUDED). Which TIRE / DEAL should I go for? I will really appreciate any suggestions since I am completely new with this tire buying thing.
- I had to buy tires last year and I went through the same thing. Since I don't know anything useful about the different tire brands, I started by looking at the tires in the price range I was limited to. Then from there, I looked at the warranty for each tire I looked at. I also checked my cars' manual to make sure I got the right size. Then, I looked at what was included. If the Bridgestone tires have a warranty you are comfortable with, I woudl go with those since the alignment is included. You woudl think the balancing would be included as well but every place has its' own deals. My car did not need an alignment when I bought the tires, and now that there are 20k miles on them, I still don't need one. To answer your original question, you need an alignment when you drive down a straight road and take your hands off the wheel, and your car does not continue moving straight. OR If you step on the brakes, the car tries to pull either left or right.
