Q:Is shag rug a synthetic?
shag rugs are made from a variety of materials, ranging from synthetic fibers like nylon to cotton, wool, linen, angora, leather and other natural fibers. since you only got a little nail polish remover of your rug it should not be a problem.
Q:puttin in and taking out carpet?
Usually carpet is held down with a tack strips that run along the wall. Just pry up the carpet at the walls roll the carpet up to the point you can fix the pipe...... Then after it's finished then roll the carpet back and use a knee kicker or power stretcher to stretch the carpet back into place, then tuck the carpet between the tack strip and the wall...... Also there should be a crawl space under the house, to get to the pipes.......There should some kind of access door to get down there, you just have to find it...... Anyway Good Luck..............
Q:POLL: Wood Floor or Carpet?
Wood Floor
Q:How do I get Coca Cola out of my rug?
By spilling pepsi on it over the coke rofl!!!!!! =P Oxyclean would work
Q:If you spilled paint on your rugs will your insurance cover it?
I can't imagine that it would be true... but it would probably differ between insurance companies.
Q:how do I crochet an oval rug for my bathroom?
I okorder.com/ ... Here they have instructions for crocheting a basic oval shape. They give instructions for making a crocheted oval rug from fabric strips. You could always use the same basic method and crochet 3 strands of cotton yarn together instead of using fabric strips if you wanted to. There are also crochet pattern leaflets that have patterns for crochet rugs. You might do a search on line at Annie's Attic or Leisure Arts and check out the pattern leaflets they have for sale. Or just do a search on OKorder for crochet rug patterns and see what you come up with. I think you'll be surprised with what is out there... Good luck on finding a pattern you can use... Q:Remove Candle Wax From Carpet?
Well I am not totally sure but perhaps if you heat water until it is scalding hot and pour it on the spot then dab at it with a towel. Do this a couple of times until the wax is gone. I don't know if it will work for sure but at least it wont ruin that spot on the carpet so much by cutting and scraping at it. If you are not worried about the carpet so much then cut it but it sounds like that you are worried about it or you wouldn't try and clean it at all. I would try the scalding hot water. Cant hurt it. I think it will work though. Then after you do that try a carpet cleaner that you can spray on and vacuum up. Might draw out any wax that is left over. Don't boil the water though, I don't know if it will melt the synthetic fibers in the carpet or not if it is boiling water. Good luck hope it works.
Q:Viscose Rayon area rug?
You can secure it with double sided carpet tape if you are concerned about creep. The home improvement centers sell it and it works very well to secure the area rug I have under my dining room table. Viscose rayon would indeed be a good choice in an area with chair traffic, food and beverages. It won't hold stains or smells like wool does, will be easier to clean than silk and is better quality fiber than nylon. If the flooring that it is going over is hardwood or ceramic tile, you can also purchase a non-skid underlayment that will protect your floors and stop creep. Go for it and enjoy!
Q:What is PVC carpet
It's plastic, environmental protection, it depends on what price you want to buy
Q:how to fix carpet that needs stretching?
The carpet will lay back down in a couple of days, on its own. The problem does go back to the original installation however, as it was poorly done.
