Why do you need to put louse powder on him anyway? He shouldn't need it. No offence but you sound very inexperienced with horses. Make sure this horse sees a vet, then find someone experienced to help you look after him. Looking after a horse is very hard work.

- I use the Rug Doctor all the time. I have two dogs so keeping up with them requires really good professional cleaning equipment. I rent mine from the local IGA grocery store and only pay $15-$20 a day for it. It works so beautifully that as soon as I can come up with an extra $700.00 in pocket I intend to buy one. I love the Rug Doctor machine and it hold up very well to my 75lb german shepherd and sheltie. You will be amazed at how much dirt and grime it pulls out of the carpet. Every bit worth the $15-20 a day rental fee. You will not be sorry! I love it so much, I have used it on a multitude of other properties as well.

- I would go with the red for that particular rug and pick up the color in accessories around the room. It will be much more visually interesting. If you choose a different rug you could pick something with browns and tans with some other color in it. IMO you really need some color. Red isn't my favorite but I think it would look fantastic. - A simple cover for a stain is an area rug. Or try to position the furniture so it covers the worst of it. Depending on the color of the carpet you can use some food coloring or strong coffee/tea to dye it back to a color (though not exact) that may not stand out as much as a bleached out spot.
