Q: How to best remove the greasy dirt on the carpet?: Scrub the carpet with brush dipped in strong brine or gasoline. Learn some knowledge about the maintance and cleaning of carpet. ①If the blue ink stains the carpet, immediately use rice to rub it, then use neutral detergent, such as washing powder to wash it. ② If red ink stains carpet, immediately use alcohol to wash it , and then use neutral detergent to wash it again. ③If the carpet is left with old ink stain, the stains should be soaked with milk firstly, and then scrubed repeatedly by brush dipped in milk. ④If there are grease stains on the carpet, scrub the carpet with brush dipped in strong brine or gasoline. ⑤If the shoe polish or paint stain the carpet, scrub the carpet with banana oil or gasoline , and then wash it with neutral detergent. ⑥If there are blood stains on the carpet, scrub the carpet firstly with cold water, and then with salt brine or lemon juice. Don't use hot water to wash the carpet, because the blood will be solidified cement in hot water. ⑦If there are tea or coffee stains on the carpet, smear glycerol on the stains, then use cloth with warm water to wipe the stains, finally, use neutral detergent to wash it. ⑧ The soy sauce, vinegar, milk, ice cream, beverage and others stain the carpet, firstly absorb the stains with a aqueezed cloth which soaked in warm water at first, and then scrub the stains with alcohol .

Q: Me and some friends were wrestling around and I got a rug burn...its pretty red...anyone know the best way to heal it and about how long it'll take? Thx in advance :D: Rug burn is chafing , so neosporinr is perfect. Just wash with soapy water and let it dry first. It will clear up fast if it's just red. If its bleeding or oprn will take longer. Aloe, from a plant will work too.

Baking soda will absorb into the stains, removing the ashes from the carpet fibers. 2 Allow the baking soda to set on the carpet for an hour. Use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum up the baking soda from the carpet. 3 Apply dry-cleaning solvent to a clean, white cloth. Sponge the stained carpet with the cloth until the solvent is absorbed. 4 Inspect the carpet for remaining ashes or stains. Repeat the entire process if needed.

Q: okay, so i moved to college and back home my parents smoke and the 6'x10' rug i took to school smells of cigarettes. How can i get rig of that smell, any suggestions or advice. thanks.: If it is still hot in your area , take it outside and wash with a mild soap. The driveway with the lawn hose is the easiest.Find two lawn chairs and place the rug on these chairs, or crates, anything to help the water drain from it after washing. When most of the water is drained, throw it over the fence or line to complete drying. Use some degreaser on the rug while you are washing it. The smoke may have some oils in it . You can also rinse with some fabric softener, just mix in bucket first and pour over rug. Only soapy water will get things really clean,those carpet cleaners just cover smells and don't really get anything clean. I only recommed mild soap because I don't know what your rug is made of, if it is synthytic just use laundry detergent. I wash 20 area carpets every spring out of my home, some or wool, cotton, and mixed , even one silk, I don't have a problem, just make sure it is completely dry before bring it back in. If you can't do these things, go to the grocery and buy fabric spray for oders, they work pretty fair.

Q: I have a candle that dripped wax on a carpet so what is the easiest way to remove it from my carpet?: get a clean white cloth and an iron. test the iron on the carpet in a hidden area to insure the setting will not melt the carpet. once you have established the maximum setting your iron can be at without melting your carpet then place the cloth over the wax and apply the iron to it. the wax will melt and should be drawn toward the source of heat and be absorbed into the cloth. if you have a lot of wax make sure you have extra cloths so you can quickly remove them as they get saturated with melted wax. before heating with iron, try to remove any large globs of wax that you can with out scrubbing or rubbing the fibers. keep repeating the melting and absorbing process until the wax is gone. be patient. you will be tempted to start rubbing or scrubbing when you see there is only a small amount of wax left. this will ruin your carpet by wearing the fibers, stretching the fibers and unfurling them, leaving a noticeable cowlick or worn are in the carpet. Do not use any kind of 'miracle' cleaner from the super market. they will only leave a residue behind that will act as a dirt magnet and you will have a nasty patch on your carpet in a month that will never go away. any remaining wax will eventually break down, and be vacuumed up with the rest of the dirt that gets into the fibers f your carpet. good luck. careful, don't melt your carpet.

Q: I'm really stressed I just spilled Mac and cheese all over the carpet how do I get it out: It can not be too much so first of all scrape it all off the carpet and then use some spray removers and a brush. Some work really well and dry to a powder to hoover off or take some warm water with some washing up liquid in it and either brush the stain away or use a cloth to do the same. You might need to do it a couple of times but the stain you have is not a bad one and it should lift. After the wash use clean water to rinse the soap off and blot dry with towel or paper. If you use tissue paper you will see when the paper gets dry. Just make sure when you get rid of the stain that you go past the mark it has left and it should not leave a ring.
