- Is this the same rug I just answered about? I didn't know it was brand new! I assumed it was just old and funky. Try Carpet Fresh or any sprinkley carpet freshener. If it is really giving you a headache it is most likely just new fiber smell. Kinda like new car smell but different materials. In which case it will fade soon enough. but if it is really making your head hurt, take it outside and lay it out in the sun for a day or two. The ultra violet rays should cook off that new fiber smell a bit.

- carpet tiles are awesome...and so easy to install--you just lay them down! they have rubber backing so they stay in place also...you can get different colors and alternate your look, and change it up whenever you feel like it---or if you happen to spill something you can just replace that tile rather than get all new carpet. depending on the price, you can get real high quality (fluffy) carpet tiles. I'd go with the tiles
