Q:Which rug should I get?
If your walls are white / creame / a neutral color get the Herringbone Rug as you need something to accent the color. If you have a wall that is purple, pink, blue, green, red etc. and you have a lot of stuff in your room get the Zigag Rug, it wont make the room too busy, but it will compliment it as well as give it length/width (whichever way you place it). If you have a colored wall (eg the colors above) but a fairly empty space go for the Stamped Scallop Rug as it is will make the room a little more busy. Good luck!
Q:Can you make a rug using sheets, without a loom?
I have one my grandmother made, she tore fabric into strips and braided them, then wound the braid into a circle and sewed it.
Q:How are the carpets laid?
If you've chosen the carpet and are going to do it yourself, here are some basic ways to do it.Carpet laying is mainly fixed and not fixed type two; can be covered by the room, can also be partial laying.1., the laying of non fixed. The carpet tile on the ground around the shop to the required position, or spread to the wall. If the carpet needs to be connected, the carpet seams must be glued together neatly before laying. The carpet and carpet joint method is: in the carpet seam lining a 100mm wide linen strip, coated with adhesive, coating amount of 0.8 kilograms per square meter, and then aligned, flat can. If you want to make a double deck carpet, choose upper float 5-10mm thick carpet, and lower layer 5mm thick rubber foam carpet pad.2. fixed laying. There are three ways to lay this:Paste method. Paste the carpet and a leveling layer, along the carpet around the adhesive coated, coating width is 100-150mm and the amount of glue is 0.05 kg per square meter; or on the ground with adhesive into some 1 meters square box covered with carpet.Hook fixation. This method is in the room around the ground with steel nails installed with cards hook wood, carpet will hang on the card hook. The hook is about 25mm wide and leaves the wall around 20mm.Layering fixation method. Place 20mm * 30MM or 10mm * 25MM batten around the carpet, and tack and carpet onto the concrete floor with special studs. These three methods of laying carpet are more suitable for rooms that do not change frequently.
Q:Carpet Recommendation?
Berber Carpet or Tile for a High Traffic Area Certain areas of your home get more traffic from family, pets, and guests than others. What type of flooring would be best for these areas in your home. The truth is, that there are two, low-cost options for your needs – Berber Carpet or Tile. The advantages to berber carpet are that it is a very tightly woven carpet which will withstand many years of high traffic. It is also advantageous because of how easy it is to maintain and even replace if necessary. Berber carpet is a solid choice for these purposes. Tile is also a good alternative. The costs and installation of vinyl or ceramic tile are more than that of berber carpet, but the life span of your flooring will be greater. The cleaning and regular maintenance with tile is also fairly simple. A good mop and soap solution will keep tile clean and shinny for years and years. If you have a porous tile, you will need to give a good hard scrubbing every so often just to get the deep down grime. For your high traffic area, look to berber carpet or tile to give you the longest life of your flooring You can read up on the advantages and disadvantages at the link I provided below.
Q:Help with cleaning my carpet?
Depending on what kind of carpet it is (wool, polypropolene etc.) I would take a stiff brush and try to get the dirt out of the carpet. first and then vacuum again. I have a lightweight carpet cleaner. After using a still brush I use the carpet cleaner/vacuum. I put white vinegar and warm water in the resevoir and use that to clean any remaining stains. So far that has worked for everything my cat has done to my rugs. It sometimes takes 2 rounds with the vinegar but that's all I use.
Q:Could you recommend some curtains & rugs please?
Nice okorder.com/ Hope this helps! :) Have fun shopping!
Q:Pop Stain on Carpet?
Try OxyClean. You mix some powder in water, soak the stain, and mop it up with paper towels. Good luck!
Q:What is eating at my carpet?
there's a few things that live in carpets or breed there. but moths are the ones that are famous for holes. the larvae eat the rug then become moths. If you're lucky a little flea spray and the worms will come up so you can see them. start using boric acid or diatomaceous earth (buy the kind for this use not the pool filter material). sprinkle on carpet and brush deep with broom. Vacuum more regularly and put down more boric acid every few months at least.
Q:If we combined all our prayer rugs?
Actually pinky it would be a multiple of Pi because going once around the world would be 2Pi...
Q:Carpet tiles vs full carpet for a kid's room?
Carpet tiles over full carpet. The carpet in my childhood bedroom has silly putty stuck in it, marker stains, nailpolish stains, paint spills, you name it. Carpet tiles are good for young kids because you can REPLACE them. Accidents happen, kids are messy and getting someone to clean your carpet is expensive. This also gives you the option to change the flooring when your daughter gets older if she wants something different. Picking up carpet tiles is cheaper then hiring someone to take out old carpet and install new.
