Q: I got a rug burn on my toe Monday and not quite sure how to treat it. When I looked up how to treat rug burns, every site said that they were like 1st degree burns or a sunburn and should be pretty much treated the same way. However mine is open and for the first few days, was leaking pus and a clear liquid. It hasn't healed up yet and I have been treating it as a cut. It fizzes when peroxide is applied but today didn't do it as much (and hurts much less). Am I doing the right thing? Also is there a cool trick to get a band aid to stay on my toe? The burn is at the joint that is the foot equivalent of a knuckle.: If it is getting better than you are doing the right thing. The trick to the band aid, would be to get a longer one, so that it will go all the way around your toe and stick to itself. Measure it before you take those tabs off to make sure it is long enuff.

Q: My horse lives in a paddock all week round and with the current climate in sydney its hot one day and raining the next. I live in sydney and he lives 2.5 hours away. He is on an agistment property but i only see him on weekends and the people feed him for me. Are there any rugs that you can think of that are breathable but fairly waterproof and would keep him dry in this annoying weather. TThank you so much and also please only answer if you actually have something helpful to contribute.: I live in Northern NSW- right now we're getting a fair amount more rain than Sydney. It's HORRIBLE and I totally feel you're pain. My advice is to get a fly-mesh rug. (Horseland has them- the saxon brand is really cheap- weatherbeeta is a better quality). It won't keep him dry, but it will keep the bugs off- and it will keep him cool when its hot. When it starts getting colder you should invest in a light waterproof winter rug (maybe 130g polyfill) which will be fine to leave on him all week in winter- and it will keep him dry. Right now all the horses here are in either flymesh rugs or cotton rugs. They don't stay dry- but it keeps them covered and keeps the bugs off. Lets hope this rain stops soon- I'm so sick of it!

How much will it cost!: Doing a room that size , you ll need a pc of carpet at least 12x28 to cover that area because of seaming. You may need more if there is a pattern . This is done with a 1/4 turn to make the least amount of carpet and some carpets you can t do that. 12x28 is 336 s/f or 37.333 s/y. But carpet is actually sold by the s/f and not s/y. Can be advertised on a sale tag as s/y but MUST be sold per s/f. But given those numbers, it ll cost 933.33$ plus pad and installation if that isn t an installed price. Q: I've got greasy dirty black grease tracked on my carpet: Perhaps your husband has an aerosol can of Brake Cleaner in the garage.Spray some on to a white terry cloth towel and then gently rub the grease, it should transfer into the rag. This product has a slight odor to it, so do this cleaning when it is ideal to do so. Get the rag out of the house when you are finish to get rid of what odor you have control over. I used to use Trichlorethane III for this, it was un flammable, but now substitute aerosol brake cleaner. Do not use carbureator cleaner as this is to smelly. Charcoal Lighter fluid will also work as will WD40, the Brake Fluid Aerosol is faster. Do not allow any solvents to come in contact with the adhesive in the backing of the carpet.

Q: A: is it good to lay full carpets in the bedroom?: the cost of carpet is not low, and maintenance is also troublesome. No matter how less things in bedroom, it still has blind angle, this will make the carpet breed bacteria easily.
