- Q:What are semi metallic brakes and how do they differ from others?
- Screw metallic go to Ceramic Brakes, I got 50k out of a set, I will never use other type.
- Q:I do not have a motorcycle license yet, but I plan on taking the safety course this summer. My dream bike is the Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS, but I know its a terrible idea to start out on a 650cc. The drivers school that I plan on going through lends you a 125cc while you are in class, but going from a 125 to a 650 is suicide especially since I wouldn‘t consider trainers school actual road experience. My mom has a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 500r and I think she might let me ride it if I go through drivers school, but she still will probably tell me to ride a 250 first. I checked Craigslist for a CBR250r Honda and the cheapest I could find one for was $3,200. I can‘t see myself purchasing a trainers bike for that much money especially since I do not have very good sales experience and probably would not be able to sell it back for much. What are my options as far as working my way up to a 650. I would consider purchasing a 300 ABS but I‘m too worried about investing in a bike that might not be my dream bike.
- Why ABS? Motorcycle brakes are the most controllable of ANY vehicle.
- Q:at how many miles should a motorcycle need new brakes?
- Just look at the idicator marks on the shoes or the drums. At moderate use, I would guess somewhere around 20-30000 miles or so. Some last shorter, some longer depending on the riding conditions.
- Q:Intruder Suzuki
- Just pour it all over the top of the bike. It will eventually seep into the chamber and fill the reservoir. OR you could wait until your brakes fail completely. If you are stupid enough to ask such a question you probably should not be riding a motorcycle to begin with.
- Q:so i was involved in a motorcycle accident a few days ago where i t-bone a car and flew a few feet and broke my jaw. the person i hit had her right turn blinker on, she was actually preceding to turn right into this business parking lot and out of no where she hooked her car and made a quick left U turn. i immediately hit the brakes and slid into the back side of her car by her gas tank door.I was wheeled off in a ambulance and wasn‘t able to say my part of the story very much to the cop but i‘m sure the cops will say it was my fault just because she got to fabricate what happened. What should i do?
- Bought the t-shirt. Had the traditional Sorry I failed to see you mate. despite sporting a brilliant yellow water resistant jacket on a vivid sunny afternoon. Doing (a legal) 30mph on an city through street and a few comic pulled out of a driveway proper throughout in entrance of me not up to 10 yards away. Nowhere to head but straight into the part of the vehicle. Bust the throttle twist grip and a entrance mudguard stanchion. I hit the automobile with my chest and the handlebars spectacularly destroyed the driver's side window. The bit that sucked was once the entire rubberneckers that came out of nowhere have been sympathizing with the stupid driver who admitted it was once her fault to the police. Hats off to the one guy on my side who lent me a screwdriver and some tape to cludge my broken throttle manipulate.
- Q:Motorcycle brakes have a harsh voice is how the matter, how should the solution
- Brake harsh is generally the problem of brake pads, brake pads into the water or moisture will cause the ears of the screams. In addition, if the brake pad itself is not good quality or grinding is too smooth there may be a sound, you can change a set of brake pads or remove the brake pads, with the file in the brake pad surface slip does not let it too smooth, generally can eliminate the brake noise The
- Q:I‘ve never driven one before, and I don‘t know anyone who drives one. Is there a moderately-priced place to learn in the Virginia Beach area?
- About $275 for a MSF Basic Riders Course. You'll save at least that much a year in insurance costs on pretty much any bike that a reasonable beginner should buy.
- Q:please tell me! im trying to change the brake fluid on my 97 yamaha motorcyle
- Q:how do I replace the front and rear brake pads on a yahama v star motorcycle?
- im sure your maunal says how or just ask the guy who you buy the pads from he should be able to tell you
- Q:i have an r6 i just bought it i can down shift i just want to know the proper way to do it i‘ve heard lots of ways but can someone tell me a good way to do it to see if i‘m doing it right thanks for the help
- if im engine breaking I usually pull in the clutch, toe it down. and give it just a little throttle before letting the clutch out. bringing your rpms up to just below where they will be when you let the clutch back out prevent the rear from locking up when it goes into the lower gear and makes it a little smoother. but if im just down shifting it depends on the bike. some i can just let off the gas and tap it down a gear and some you need to pull in the clutch for it downshift. ive been riding for about 16 years and havent hurt a clutch or transmission yet.
