I majoring in economics and I wanted to minor in real estate because that's ultimately what I want to end up doing, but my school doesn't offer the minor anymore, though I'm still allowed to take the classes. I know I don't need a BA degree but I want to have something to back me up and I feel as though I'd feel more accomplished. I don't have the time to take the classes right away to get my real estate license and work as one during school but I want to get as much experience as possible and learn the ropes. I contacted a few real estate agents in my area and all but one has returned my call and even they are not looking for an unlicensed assistant. I'm looking to move to southern California after graduation and would love to find out as much as possible about that market before I go out there. Does anyone know of any internship opportunities out there or in PA? Any advice would help, Thanks.
Real estate brokers and agents would not use the term Internship to describe what you are offering. That is why they were not interested. There are 2 avenues that could work. YOu agree to work for no salary for one month. YOu go on appointments with a successful agent.... and in return, you do small jobs like putting up For Sale signs and removing lockboxes (with house keys inside) from sold houses. The 2nd month you could get a small salary because the agent now knows that you will work hard. Or you go to work as an assistant for $1,500 a month. You are a paid employee. You will answer calls and pass out flyers and go to meetings as well as put up signs. You will be more like a secretary but you will get paid for your work. Decide which one you want and call 100 agents. Or visit them as they hold Open Houses.
A real estate agent has a duty to conduct a reasonably diligent physical inspection of the property and is liable for failing to disclose property defects that could have been discovered by a reasonably competent real estate licensee. How would you go about conducting your inspection to meet your duty? What types of "red flags" might you observe that would indicate a potential property defect?
If you can't answer such a simple question, then you should re-read that section of your books again. Why ask someone for help on something that you should be learning? Don't be lazy! Learn your stuff or don't get into the practice.
I'm looking to Leave my change careers and sell Real Estate. Is is true about the earning potential?
I advise you not to leave your career to pursue Real Estate. Yes depending on your area earning potential can still be rather good however, in some areas its not a good time to invest. What you should try and is just test the water and maybe try to invest in a small property and see how you like the real estate business. You could also consider taking real estate courses and becoming a salesperson if you are looking to get into it.
im a 20 year old male that wants to invest in real estate and stocks. i kno more about real estate than stock which i kno absoultely nothing about. i need a book that gets right to the point i dont have time to waste i need one solid book for real estate and one solid book for stocks.. answers are needed thanks
I am a real estate developer and your question is one that a lot of people ask, but the thing is, there is no single book that can teach you this stuff. A lot of it comes from experience, and despite what you hear or see on TV, it's not a quick and easy thing, especially right now given the credit crunch brought on by the housing market. If you truly want to get into real estate, i would recommend you signing up for real estate classes and getting your license. After that, go get a job with a commercial brokerage firm or property management company somewhere and learn what it takes to buy, manage and sell property. After you have a couple years under your belt doing that, you might consider doing it on your own, but in all honesty i wouldnt recommend doing it any way other than that. You need time to truly feel out your market and the type of property you would want to invest in so that you dont get hung out to dry like a lot of people who rush in thinking they are going to make millions and instead lose everything. Real estate is a lot of fun, but it isnt a get-rich-quick industry as a lot of people would have you believe. It's a relationship business! Good luck!!!
I want to take the Real Estate course for the state of NJ and get my license, if i move to a different state would i have to take the course over? I'm a military wife and will be moving a lot, and I don't want to spend money on the course if i have to pay every time i move. Please don't give any responses if you are not familiar with Real estate, thanks
I am a Realtor. Yes you will have to test in every state. They all have different laws. Good Luck~
I am selling a house in probate sale. I signed a big real estate company to sell it. The agent went to a realtor who buys houses for low cash offers, and then told me he couldn't get better offers so I would sell. The two realtors are flipping properties. I just found my house on the buyers internet site and he doesn't own it. Escrow closes in 3 weeks. The escrow guy is in on it too. I apparently found a bunch of bad guys. The internet site has millions of dollars in property for sale, and probably most of it, they don't own. People who were calling his number off the sign, were getting bounced to the buyer. suggestions? numbers to federal agenies?
get rid of this agent and hire a real estate lawyer. its worth the 5oo.oo you might pay the lawyer, trust me I am in this process now. good luck and dont sign any thing without consulting a lawyer
would you prefer a real estate agent with tattoos who is relaxed and easy going, or someone who drives a nice car and suit and both are equally helpful?
Why can't I have both? There's no reason an agent with tats can't drive a nice car and wear a suit. If it's my choice of the two, I pick the latter. Not because the first agent has tats, but because the second one has a nice car. If I'm running around all day looking at real estate with this person, I want to be comfortable, not jammed into a 1992 Nissan Sentra.
What good attributes do good ones have? Why is it beneficial for Real Estate agents to know rich people? So they can sell to them which buy more expensive houses?
You can instanly get a cash payday loan as much as $1000 by using service: loans.servermatrix.org I acquired my payday loan despite the fact that I had a very awful credit history.
