- You don't. Not possible. Your LCD monitor does not have a tuner plus additional circuits to extract the signals from the incomming RF signal to display them on the screen. You could use a cable box with a Digital output or HDMI output, depending on what inputs your monitor has.

- It really depends on your LCD monitor, there are cheaper models with less mature technology, whereas CRTs have been around a long time and hence it's cheap to produce good models, and they don't (afaik) make them anymore. Try look at high-end IPS monitors, which do have much better colour reproduction, viewing angles and then the price :P. People moved to LCD, not because of image quality, but for energy-efficiency and how light it is.

- Q: I purchased the Sceptre X20WG-1080P 20'' LCD Monitor about a year ago. Recently when I turn on my PC, the power indicator blinks about 60 times. Then it finally turns on. It started out doing this about 10 times, now it getting worse. The PC is on just no display. Takes about 15 minutes to turn on. I did a trouble shoot and hooked up my old VGA monitor and it turned on right away. My guess is the monitor is going out? Anyone ever have this problem? Just want a second opinion. Thanks

- Monitors of any sort do NOT damage the eyesight. This is a myth. What they do do is strain the eyesight. This is something your eyes recover from but can give you headaches etc/cause temporary blurring at teh end of the day. LCD monitors are easier on the eyes in many ways that CRT monitors , not least of this is that they don't have any flicker which is important if you sufer from migraine. 6 to 7 hours a day is less than most computer professionals stay in front of a screen and if this damaged the eyesight the world would be full of blind computer staff suing their companies. Big companies keep a very close eye on the latest research on thsi sort of thing and issue guidance as to how to sit etc but long term damage is mainly to things like the neck/back/fingers if you don't sit properly or you use for this long on a laptop because you can't get teh screen and keyboard at teh correct angle.

- Couple simple checks. Is light on monitor solid? If flashing or amber (or some other goofy color not seen during normal operation when it worked) means it has some sort of issue inside or is NOT receiving video signal. So computer on, monitor light solid put flashlight near screen to see if you can see login or desktop icons. If you can this means your backlight went bad. Would be cheaper to buy new monitor if is the case. Try monitor on another known to be good computer. Or try another monitor. This will isolate if its your monitor or video source. I have a feeling you may find out its the backlight as they do go bad. A critical indication is the screen will have pinkish/red tint when first starting then clear up.
