Q: Where can I get a dual exhaust system for a 94 GMC Yukon that isnt really expensive?Does Heartthrob make one.?
go to an exhaust shop in your area that bends their own pipes and have them make you a system for your truck, it will be cheaper than buying a system, you can get the mufflers you want from summit racing or Jegs and then just have the shop install the whole system.
Q: So i want to put the 2 into 1 exhaust system on my Triumph Thruxton and want to know if it‘s street legal in California. If not, is there some way around this?
Basically anything that didn't come factory installed is not legal in California until proved otherwise. That said you'll probably need to re-jet.
Q: Also do dual exhaust, or exhaust that come out on the side(like the lightning) alter perfomance in any way, or is this purely cosmetic? thanks for your help
Side exhaust doesn't really do anything if it's catted and mufflered. I just noticed a shelby mustang with side exhaust.looked stupid. Cars should have exhaust in the back; side exhaust will damage your hearing guaranteed. Dual exhaust doesn't do anything for any four cylinder cars but it can be helpful for reducing backpressure in most v-6+ cars. Usually a full exhaust system (in my belief) is head back meaning it replaces the header(s) cat, and cat back. Stainless exhaust in a bit bigger diameter usually nets decent horsepower and torque, but usually it's all from the replacement of the header and cat with higher flow components and NOT the cat back. Even then, if you go too big you can actually lose horsepower and torque which is never a good thing for something that cost you a lot of money to buy and possibly install.
Q: Or do I buy it separate?
Depend on year, make and model, some exhaust pipe come with the converter welded on it,some come seperately.
Q: Im planning to change the exhaust system of my 2012 camaro and was thinking of getting the Borla atak catback. Is this a good system to install or are there better ones? All i really care about is the sound btw.
Borla is the most winning exhaust in racing. But if you want sound, i suggest Magnaflow
Q: Where can i find an exhaust system?
There are numerous online auto parts stores you can find your exhaust system on. A couple of examples are shown in the website links I have included.
Q: Car enthusiasts or a true owner please answer, my father and I are debating
If you use a quality oil and change at recommended intervals, then additives would be a waste of moneywhat additive would you use that was not already included in the oil This is more of a concern when using cheap gas and adding fuel injector cleanershigh quality gas does not need additional additives. I would be most concerned with your cooling system, the corrosion additives deplete and must be replenished by draining and refilling with fresh 50/50 mix at least every two years.the damage to radiators, heater cores and aluminum parts of your engine can be extensive and expensive.just look on this site all the questions asked about replacement of such which could have been avoided with proper maintenance.
Q: What I was wondering is if a cat-back exhaust from a wrx would be compatible with my 9-3?do they have the same bends and pipe diameter and things like that?and could it be easily modified to fit the Saab?
It's the Saab 9-2x Aero from 05 and 06 that is identical to the GD chassis WRX's not the 9-3. So no it's not going to work.
Q: if i were to just get a new a muffler and exhaust tip rather than spending well over 500 dollars on a nismo exhaust system what would be the main differences seeing that i would get a flowmaster muffler and a borla cover whats the difference in comparison to the complete nismo exhaust system
You can get used oil at the local recycle center special for porche's and you should consider a ford as they do not require additives
Q: would this increase the gas milage of my 1993 gmc truck? What are the benefits of a new exhaust system?
Better sound some more power perhaps a little better gas mileage prob wouldn't be noticeable
