Q:CAN I FIT A EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM A MUSTANG GT TO A V6 IF I AM GOING WITH A DUAL SYSTEM ON MY V6
jsut bring it to a exhaust shop
Q:I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Hemi with factory exhaust system. Looked at some aftermarket kits and decided to maybe have the local exhaust shop run duals from the cats back out to the rear with either 2 magnaflow or flowmasters. Question is, will this be sufficient to at least not loose any torque or hp? Not neccesarily looking for big hp gains but dont want to loose any low end torque. And really hoping for a gas mileage improvement and a bit deeper sound. Just don‘t wanna loose any useful back pressure. Also wondering if getting rid of the resonator will make the cabin drone sound that I can‘t stand. Thanks.
I work for a Dodge dealership (and only drive Dodge) and my dad has ran an exhaust shop over 20 years. I'd do cat-back 40 series Flow-masters. It's a dodge so it will literally roar if you take the cats off. If you dump it go over the back axle. You will lose mileage regardless. 2-5 mpg
Q:I want my car to sound really loud so im wondering what exhaust system and other accessories i can buy to wake up the neighborhood. thank you
The loudest system I've heard is from Borla. Without a Cat it's obnoxiously loud. You WILL get pulled over by the Cops.
Q:I am wanting to add as much power to my 1990 v6 camaro as possible WITHOUT going to a v8. I was wondering what would be the best exhaust system for me to get, that would still be quiet, because I love stealth. Where would be a good place to get it from, will I need both the muffler and headers, and would I be able to have it customized with a different exhaust tips welded on?
I wouldn't get too carried away with headers and everything unless you really like this car and plan to mod it further. Anyways, I think headers might be a bit of overkill for a near stock 3.1 V6. I'd go with a cat-back dual exhaust system with some noise reducing turbo mufflers if you prefer it to be quiet. That wouldn't cost you too much and you'll pick up some extra ponies. I'm surprised you don't want it to have a more prominent sound with a new exhaust system. If you want more power, also look into a cold air intake and a high voltage ignition system. A centrifugal supercharger would give your V6 lots of additional power and torque.
Q:i do a lot of off roading and i would enjoy a lot more sound coming from my exhaust. i have a flowmaster muffler on it right now but its only loud at around 4000 rpms. i want something with sound throughout the rpms. any suggestions? thanks
Try a Cherry Bomb. Usully about $20 or $25.
Q:I just got an exhaust system for my car, bigger tubing and what not. My air intake is still stock though, so will there be a problem with that? I suck in the same amount of air but release it out the exhaust quicker to me that sounds like no problem but friends told me that I would need to upgrade the air intake to keep up. Is that true?
No. What you've done was amplified the sound (like yelling through an orange traffic cone) and lowered the pressure on the exhaust. personally I wouldn't recommend a cold air intake, Id rather have a ram air intake. which is a setup that has hoses using the air rushing towards your engine to force itself into your engine. Its all about position and nothing more.if you can get a hose that runs straight from the front of the engine (find a gap where air gets through your grill or make one) towards the back and ends where your intake goes into the engine, thats a ram air effect.
Q:k im getting my ninja 250 this month, and a guy told me to get a exhaust so my bike sounds louder and cars can notice me more (like two brothers, or yosh), and i was wondering will this hamper my bikes capabilities or increase it?? as well as will the exhaust really make a difference if a car notices me or not??
With some work a new exhaust system can make a difference to the performance of your bike –?often with jetting (carbs) or remapping (injection) and air intake. There is a benefit just from having a lighter weight exhaust – providing the fuelling isn’t affected, however the cheapest peformance mod is to change the sprockets. Cars will not necessarily notice you because of a loud exhaust, because soundwaves do not travel that way, pedestrians on the other hand will notice you – not always for the better. If you want to improve your safety, you have to take responsibility, do not rely on other road users, work on your observation and anticipation –?they will make you a better rider too.
Q:how much would new exhaust system MINUS the muffler cost?i have a 1995 Geo prizm, i purchased the car for $800 with about 170000 miles. It has no Catalytic converter and the pipes connected to them are cut. How much would it be to replace both pipes and the converter.I found a converter on amazon for about 70 dollars and it says it would fit my car, what should i do?
Since your car is older and pre OBD-ll you could get a universal catalytic converter, pipes, and muffler for less than $100 and do it yourself with U-bolts. Just make sure the catalytic converter, pipes and muffler are all the same diameter as the original piping. Its pretty easy if you have any kind of mechanical knowledge, just measuring, cutting and bolting. You may need to fit it with new universal exhaust hangers for stability.
Q:Who created the exhaust system for the auto mobile?
last night , i dreamed all night long about a muffler and a tailpipe . i woke up exhausted .
Q:I drive a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege. I just purchased it a few weeks ago. I am looking to put a good exhaust system on it. Any suggestions?
