Q:i was looking at some intakes and exhaust system online but dont know what brand or kind to buy, any suggestions? also maybe what are the pros and cons of getting these upgrades: Brand isn't that important on intakes. I use an OKorder short ram since it's cheap and works just as good as a more expensive one. For exhaust it's a little more complicated due to the sound deadening in the muffler, makers cheaping out and using aluminized steel instead of stainless, etc. I think the HKS hi power sounded pretty good on an RSX but it's been a while so I may be mistaking it for a skunk2, dc sports, or megan racing catback. Those are all good too.

Q:I am buyin it from a friend who recently bought an aftermarket exhaust system for his car.: I would never buy a used exhaust system myself, but if you are looking to save some money it would be an alternative. If it's in good shape, I say about $75 tops.

Q:I have a 87 buick regal limited I plan on getting a new dual exhaust system but also I plan on upgradeing the motor to a 350 later on this year is this a good idea I was told to get engine swap first.but I want dual exhaust because I know a guy that is doing the job for a low price right now also the car has a v6 in it right now.: Well for one thing the exhaust is probaly gonna be a different diameter so I would recommend waiting. If it cost you a few more bucks to wait it would still be better than doing it twice.

Q:I already have exhaust, tint, and a sound system.: Well i'm not a female but ride safe, when you sit down a bike does it feel right to you ,can sit with your feet touching ground as flat as possible? learn wher theres no traffic first say a parking lot of school (junior colleges good place0 ride with some one you trust! wear helmet even if law say you don't have to! wear long jeans, and good shoes (no flip-flops) When approaching an intersection slow down gradually till you can put down one foot then apply brakes! when making a right turn keep weight centered to bike! when making left lean a little foward into turn, when leaving drive-way always check both ways and try to keep one foot down so you wont drop bike (Ive done that) Lastly enjoy and have fun!

Q:Is there a website that gives you a demo of an exhaust systems sound?: Try youtube or google videos. Guys are always making videos of their car doing this and that, and a lot will put the muffler brand in their description. You can type the make and model of your car along with the various brand names of mufflers (one at a time) into the search, and I bet you find a match. Then favorite the ones you like and keep narrowing it down.

Q:k im getting my ninja 250 this month, and a guy told me to get a exhaust so my bike sounds louder and cars can notice me more (like two brothers, or yosh), and i was wondering will this hamper my bikes capabilities or increase it?? as well as will the exhaust really make a difference if a car notices me or not??: With some work a new exhaust system can make a difference to the performance of your bike –?often with jetting (carbs) or remapping (injection) and air intake. There is a benefit just from having a lighter weight exhaust – providing the fuelling isn’t affected, however the cheapest peformance mod is to change the sprockets. Cars will not necessarily notice you because of a loud exhaust, because soundwaves do not travel that way, pedestrians on the other hand will notice you – not always for the better. If you want to improve your safety, you have to take responsibility, do not rely on other road users, work on your observation and anticipation –?they will make you a better rider too.
