- Q: I have a mach 1 mustang and i just want a good rumble to it.
- Go to Youtube and do a search for MUSTANG EXHAUST and listen until you hear a system you like. Go from there. Everyone else will just tell you to buy what THEY like. There is no best and Supertraps suck.
- Q: I want to gain a little more acceleration so i can take off quicker like when going on the highway but i dont like the ones with large mufflers so i am thinking about getting a flowmaster exhaust installed on my ex. Even though it is automatic will i still notice any performance gains, even slightly? I figure since the pipe outlet is like the same size as the oem one that i will still have the back pressure needed and get the benefits of the high flow exhaust pipe too.also if i get that installed should i also get a new aftermarket intake put on too? is it better to have both or would it be a waste and should just get the exhaust. becuase i hear the stock air intake system is more efficient thatn a short eram or cold air aftermarket one.thanks
- If you're buying an aftermarket exhaust system, you're wasting your money if you don't use the correct muffler. You'll just be restricting the exhaust with a smaller diameter than the upgraded system and might as well not even upgrade. Buy the correct one and you should notice a little extra torque while going up hills. Don't worry about back pressure, your OEM cat will create enough back pressure by itself. I believe that you should see a little extra power. An upgraded intake combined with an upgraded exhaust will improve your performance. The gain may not be justified by the cost but you will get an improvement.
- Q: I just purchased this bolt-on exhaust cat back system from Magnaflow. The part number is 16936. I saw a couple online videos of this system and they sound much more louder than mine after I installed it. So I checked around and I‘ve heard that some of them come with resonators that I can remove to make it louder? I was told that it is illegal to remove the cats and it is not an option to do so at this time anyways. the exhaust is for a 2007 Dodge Charger SXT 3.5L V6. Any help with this would be appreciated. My friend told me that his exhaust sounded stupid too until he took out the resonator or maybe something in the tip (I‘m not quite sure) then it was much louder and didn‘t sound so restricted. Thanks in advance!
- the magnaflow system is not designed to be very loud.the kit actually is a very nice one. FYI, the muffler is in the middle of the car and the resonators are cans at the ends. Your original exhaust had both a muffler and resonator.now you have a muffler and 2 resonators. If you remove the resonators, you will get a drone.a buzzing sound that will probably drive you and your passengers crazy. It will never sound like a V8 but your system is one of the nicest for the 3.5
- Q: i‘m getting an exhaust system for my husband for Christmas, it‘s what hes been wanting. he has a Mazda 6i 2007. he wants big pipes and for it to be loud (go figure). problem is i have no clue what to look for. i need to know what the exhaust system is made up of, good brands, and what parts i need to get. please let me know if you know anything, thanks!
- This is really a tough question to answer if you don't know much about the breed of the car in question. It really relies on what his goal is for the car. For example, turbo or not, the exhaust is different for that setup. Is he trying to pull more torque from the engine, horsepower? Just the Sound? I can tell you brands of exhaust like Borla or Flowmaster, all companies make cat-back designed systems for just about every car but they all cost. My advice, is to log onto a forum website and see what most people run on those cars or recommend. You could always just ask your husband too! lol Exhaust systems are expensive so making the right choice is pretty crucial. If he's really just looking for sound and isn't too autosavy, you could take him right down to a pep boys and have them jimmy up a generic that'll make it loud too like a turbo muffler or glasspack! lol Really an open ended question! lol I've been a chick working on cars now for 10 years, hope I helped somewhat )
- Q: I want to get an exhaust system on my v8 ls1 camaro and I want a nice deep aggressive loud sound. What exhaust is loud when idleing, flooring g, and driving, I‘ve heard borla is loud
- flow masters 40 series great sound you wont have any problems with them and if you want them loud you might want to install bigger pipes
- Q: Hey I‘m just looking for a cool sounding exhaust for it. Idk if I want a whole exhaust system, or maybe just the muffler. My friend said that Flowmaster wouldn‘t be good for it, sense it‘s only a 4 cyl. I was recommended DNX Mufflers or 3A Exhaust but any other suggestions?
- the stock one I love accord but get a v8 and put it on that
- Q: What is a good exhaust system for a Dodge Stratus Rt Coupe 2002?
- stainless steel. it will last longer then galvanize.
- Q: Before I decide to purchase and have work done on my car, is there a way I can listen to how the new muffler or exhaust will sound like when it is done?Does it depend on my car at all or is the sound all about the muffler/exhaust?I have 2003 PT Cruiser, if it matters.
- It was simpler than now. They just heated ore until it melted and then used forms made out of clay to pour the melted ore. Then after the sword(or anything else) was heated and shaped a little more. Simple as that.
- Q: ok ive been wondering this for awhile. I have looked at plenty of body kits for my mustang and have found really cool ones but was too afriad to buy them cause then i want to put an exhaust system on it but they have diffrent ones that come out the side and the back etc for instance the ones out the back the body kits that have the cutouts for the exhausts in the back will it basically fit all exhausts that go out the back? Same with the side ones like if it has one pipe cut out and i have a two pipe exhaust what would i have to do or would i have to find one that is for two pipes? thanks!
- sophisticated thing browse using search engines like google that will will help
- Q: i think the stock pipe is 2.25
- Full exhaust system? I think stock is like 1.5 or something pretty small. V8 Mustangs (like my Cobra) have 2.25 stock. You COULD put a 2.5 diameter pipe on there but it might feel slower because small import engines need backpressure or something I heard to run normally.
