- Q: I wanted to put in a aftermarket dual exhaust to give it some thunder! Only problem is I have limited knowledge on this stuff. I wanted a stainless steel system that gave moderate noise level ( Do not need to wake the neighbors ) and was looking for a good brand with a reasonable price. - The type of exhaust you want is the white brothers XCR exhaust. Its found on CRF450R's that are used for track days. It will give you a good boost of power. I saw one but it was listed as being for the 06/07 model so i would do a quick check to make sure it fits ok. I found a link to a website that you can buy them off.

- First of all you didnt mention what kind of car you have.This is very important because some vehicles will not show much, if any improvement by adding a cold air intake.Also,if its a vehicle that will respond well to a cold air intake,then chances are that putting headers and a performance exhaust will also give you more power.As far as the noise level of the exhaust you can choose how loud you want it to be.But you may also have to do something with the pcm so that it can manage the fuel requirements that will change as a result of your modifications.
- Q: what is the difference between a slip-on pipe, and full exhaust system for a quad?
- a slip on pipe is just the muffler. a full exhaust is the header pipe (that comes out of the motor) and the muffler. If your just doing recreational riding, a slip on should suit you just fine, however, if you plan on racing, i would recommend the full exhaust, as it gives you more power than just a slip on. and remember that you must re-jet your carb after installing a slip-on or full exhaust

- rather vague, depends on value of car. for example a high value carperhaps, a low value car. not. depends on where the car is. in a rural areadoubt it is needed. remember, anytime something non factory is added, a potential to mess up the electronics increases. good luck
