Q: I was interested in a Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust system for an 04 mustang, but the model selection doesn‘t specify if the engine is a V8 or V6. i have a V6 Base model, but the only options are GT which could be a V6 or a V8, Mach1 and Cobra which are both V8‘s, will the GT selection fit my base V6?
Burner Plus Irons are the best right now
Q: What does a Magnaflow Exhaust System do?
Magnaflow opens up the exhaust system for more horsepower and better fuel milage. It doesnt neccesarily make it loader. The cheap systems are louder than the high quality systems. Some of the diesel systems are quieter than the factory systems. It all depends on which grade system you get
Q: Since i want to gain some horse power, I‘m attempting to install exhaust system and cold air intake to my 2007 civic si coupe. But i‘m just worried if they harm my car‘s durability. I heard some stories that cold air intakes make some problem when its raining, because the water percolates through the intake to engine. And i‘m worried if installing new exhaust system does that kind of thing too. Is it okay to install those??
not enough to justify the cost maybe 1 to 1.5 hp more
Q: Is there a website that gives you a demo of an exhaust systems sound?
Try youtube or google videos. Guys are always making videos of their car doing this and that, and a lot will put the muffler brand in their description. You can type the make and model of your car along with the various brand names of mufflers (one at a time) into the search, and I bet you find a match. Then favorite the ones you like and keep narrowing it down.
Q: I own a mitsubishi lancer gts whats a good exhaust system i can buy and how much?
It's the high iron content of your food, diets low in iron will result in fallen magnets.
Q: I want more speed. obviously with new exhaust will come a different sound. The sound doesnt matter to me as long as its not a fart cannon sound like u get from a glasspack. What are the best systems for performance gains?
for performance the ones they left japan with
Q: I have a honda, and my dad told me he was going to put a turbocharger on it, I‘m no wiz at cars, but is there some type of performance exhaust that I should put on my car?
The pressure rating on the tire is usually the maximum recommended pressure from the manufacturer. You should ALWAYS look for a decal on the frame around the drivers door that will tell you exactly what to inflate the tires to. It's there by law (unless someone was stupid enough to remove it) Be aware that when you take your car to the shop to have work on the tires, they may not inflate to the recommended pressure so go behind and check.
Q: i have a 2000 jetta vr6 GLX without the cutout on the rear bumper. i want a exhaust to fit it and make it sound really good but i dont want to spend 800 dollars! i was thinking about getting a universal borla muffler and then have a muffler shop bent me pipes but then i didnt no wat sizes the pipe should be bc my cat outlet is 2.25 inches and i herd if u put a 2.25 inch pipe and muffler u wont have the right pressure or it wont sound good. then i was going to have the 2.25 cat then get 2.5 inch pike to go from the cat to the muffler but then i herd the pressure will be wrong again so i dont no wat to do!!??? i want a deep growl and kinda loud without spending alot of money but i dont no wat size pipeing or wat size mufller will fit my car and to go under my bumper! someone please help!
Go to a muffler shop and have them install 2.5 inch diameter stainless steel piping from the cat back, and delete the factory muffler and resonator, and replace them with magnaflow mufflers. Go on YouTube to see what it sounds like, type in Jetta VR6 Exhaust Total cost should be under $300. Amazon is having a 30% sale on all Magnaflow products, buy themm on there and save even more money.
Q: If a car is never driven in wet weather, can the exhaust system last 200-300 thousand miles before replacement
No. Wet weather has nothing to do with exhaust system failure. The rust is from the inside out, not the outside in. I doubt any other parts could last that long either.
Q: Just got this truck as a gift, looked underneath and the entire exhaust system is missing. How much do you think it‘ll be to repair?
i had my entire system replaced on mine and it cost me about 350 for everything on it, there has to be something under it other wise it would be so loud that you wouldnt be able to stand to drive it like that, have an exhaust shop give you an estimate on it,most shops now are real competitive and one will beat anothers price on the same job, good luck.
