Q: I am looking at either HKS Hi-Power Duel exhaust, Skunk2, Greddy, and Invidia Duel N-1.
This Site Might Help You. RE: What is the best exhaust system for Honda S2000? I am looking at either HKS Hi-Power Duel exhaust, Skunk2, Greddy, and Invidia Duel N-1.
Q: How much would it cost for a basic exhaust ( pipes and muffler )? A mid-level exhaust? The best exhaust system? Explain the difference in quality, performance, and how long each can last.
It all depends. The first thing that's important in picking an exhaust is what metal it's made of. 304 stainless steel is one of the better metals to have and often times they are covered by million mile or similar warranties. 409 stainless steel is cheaper but be warned that 409 is more likely to rust but may still hold a 10 year warranty. Aluminized steel is about as cheap as it gets but it's even more likely to rust than 409 and may have as much as a 3 year warranty from what I've seen. I would estimate most mufflers will set you back around $100-150 for stainless and $50-75 for aluminized. I got my Magnaflow for $90 with some luck at advance auto during a sale.
Q: I will be putting it on a 97 chevy truck with a 454 big block, also will this help fuel mileage, and what about preformace air intake will that also help mileage?
it won't make you fail, as long as you don't remove the catalytic converter or O2 sensors. smog laws don't tell you you can't modify the exhaust system downstream of the catalyst. these mufflers usually do give you a small gain in fuel mileage, however if you keep punching the gas pedal to hear the sound you won't see any gain. face it, 454's eat a lot of gas
Q: Hi, I took my car in to get an inspection and I was told I have a leak in my exhaust system, they told me it was going to be $600+ to fix. Is that an accurate quote? I‘ve looked at other exhaust questions here, that seems really high.
mate if its a leak then get it fix, if they replacing then try to go few shops and tell them you got a quote and if they can do less than that. also, if you going to replace the whole thing and keeping the car then get stainless steel . also, if the mechanic is sayin that its a exhaust leak in the CATALYTIC CONVERTER then yea that thinkg does cost a bit
Q: i want to get a very loud exhaust. dont want to get a cheap one but also dont want to spend a lot. i must have a good tip. i want it tuner style so i dont think i would like a straigh pipe. i want it to also sound good with a blow of velve. so what would you say i should get. please help me out. i want to make my car look and sound like a fast and the furious car. im not a punk or wat not i just want to use my car to race at the track. but i like a loud sound on my cars. please help me out
you're in a position to sell it for $5000. i do no longer see it going for greater then that. suitable now you have an 11 365 days previous vehicle, some will say it rather is 12 years previous so which you will bypass by the user-friendly scores no longer sparkling. And it rather is a Mitsubishi, no longer a stellar call interior the motor vehicle industry. i'm undecided how lots fee the enhancements will upload. And it is inner maximum sale. individuals will want a coupon over what a broker will value it.
Q: I have a 1990 supra turbo(3.0L i6 7m-gte), just got a new turbo and i want to take every measure to try to keep it in good condition so what are a few companies that make good cat back exhausts and high flow catalytic converters? I don‘t want something loud but but some fair sized piping would help prevent the hot exhaust fumes from building up. Also because i don‘t really want anything too loud the exhaust has to either have or be able to fit a silencer to help dampen the noise.
There are many companies that make catback exhausts for the mark 3 supra. Just to name the more popular ones are HKS, greddy, blitz, and apexi. Greddy is usually the quiestest out the the 4 but it really depends on the application. HKS and apexi are usually the best sounding. They have more of a deep grunt to it.
Q: i want a loud and beast like sound that will just give you the goose bumps from idle to take off. ive seen people get long tube headers and what not but if someone was to have a flowmaster, borla, or whatever type exhaust system does the headers have to bve from the same name???
i think the answer is 21.6 but im totally not sure
Q: How are these exhaust systems different?
I think its merely the tone of the exhaust note. One might be higher pitched and the other might be really deep sounding. I had a jeep with a flowmaster exhaust that sounded super deep and rumbly while another exhaust for the same jeep had a higher pitch to it and it was louder.
Q: Auto-gs4 car dashboard icon shows the engine failure, exhaust system failure is what reason
You go to repair the factory, decoding equipment to read the specific point of failure.
Q: I own a 1995 Chevy Corsica, the car needs a new exhaust, the current one has a leak and the exhaust mounts are broken so it knocks on the bottom of the car is is really loud in a bad way. I want to replace it but I don‘t know the cheapest route to go. I have heard that performance exhausts are cheaper, is this true? Or are oem exhausts cheaper? I would like to go the cheaper route and if that means that i can get a cool performance sound for cheaper than thats what i want to do. but if oem is cheaper i am perfectly fine with a quiet clean sounding exhaust. Thanks for your response.
Truth is it can all go either way. Some performance systems can be less expensive than OEM and some more expansive than OEM. You need to call the parts stores and price the different systems and go from there. Good luck.
