Q:I want it to be more powerful and loud. I also want it not to cost over $400
i have to be honest the magnaflow mufflers sound the best on chevys but the 305 the flow masters sound better
Q:I want to get a better sound out of my bike but I don‘t want to buy a jet kit or a high price muffler and intake system. My question; Can I just remove all the filler from my stock muffler to get a deeper tone? I keep reading that if I don‘t get a jet kit while increasing my exhaust flow that I could damage valves, but that doesn‘t seem plausible considering that everything I am reading says that having a more open exhaust increases EGT (Exhaust Gas Temp), but common sense would tell you that having a better air flow would cool it down right?? I‘m not looking for a performance upgrade because I‘m on a Hyosung GT250R and it‘s not like I‘ll get that much out of it. I just want a louder and little bit deeper tone, is that too much to ask without spending $800?
On a 250 motor you will lose some bottom end power by opening up the exhaust. Try drilling out some of the baffle or removing some of the packing from the muffler. This will hurt your bottom end power though.unless you re-jet and tune the carbs to match the changes you make.

This means converters and sensors must be able to work in such a way that the engine emissions are with in limits. So make sure that what ever parts you buy are not labeled for off road use only. Also I checked the Ford Performance site and did not see any exhaust systems for the F250 listed for street use, but Summit has some that should pass emissions testing.

no the only time you will get any benefit from changing the exhaust is when you change the whole thing. the manifold is the most important part that's where the pressure issues start by fitting a 4 branch manifold you will allow better gas flow and reduce hot spots. unless you are thinking of doing allot of modifications i wouldn't change anything as a proper exhaust system an be very expensive if you gust want to make the noise than change the back box but that is all you will get no power improvement from doing so.

Q:Exhaust questionI have a 2002 Cavalier Z24, I want to put an exhaust system on it, my friends have told me to just get the muffler box you want (flowmaster Super 44) and replace the stock box, I know how to weld so that helps, but some people are saying not to do that cause it will mess up things up on my car. I own a shop, build race engines, and have did many exhaust systems in my time. Caleb, you are right with what you are wanting to do. It can only make it run better, and there is nothing it can mess up. Most people that tell you stuff like that haven't go a clue, so don't listen to ignorant people. I have heard that back pressure thing till I'm sick of it! ALL mufflers have back pressure, and you free up some of it, and you make more power, but its at the expense of more noise. Have you ever noticed the faster the car, the louder it is? That ought to be the clue here. The super flowmaster is an excellent choice. When it comes to welding, I have put many of them on with a torch, and a clothes hanger (old school lol) but it does work well. Mig welding is the best I have found, but you got to watch about the aluminumized pipes though, they will blow out on you when you weld unless you fly when you hit the trigger. Some will put off smoke that will make you kind of sick to your stomach too, but I have heard all my life that buttermilk will keep you from getting sick. Who knows? Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Umm, start the car the water will blow out. Ive never heard of water in an exhaust blowing an engine. Exhaust pipes and exhaust gases are very hot, the water will turn into steam and evaporate
Q:I want to get one and hook it up a little, so i like to do research first. Any ideas what exhaust system would give me the best performance and sound for anything between a 350 and a 454? I hear a lot of good talk about Flowmasters and what not, but i wouldn‘t know which ones would be best, or if there is even a better option out there for someone looking for good performance and a low throaty sound. Any help will be appreciated, thanks
You do want to convert it over if you don't know how the system works It is far more expensive to fix so you do want to convert it over. You would need either really good jacks or a hoist i would suggest finding a garage that knows how to do the conversion its not that difficult but you need to have the car up in the air.
