Q:my system is apparently rotten form the end all the up to the catalytic converters, so would it be cheaper to get stock exhaust or aftermarket, any suggestions and if i buy a new system where does is start because the mechanic said i needed everything from the catalyitic converter back.it s a 1990
A aftermarket stainless steel cat back exhaust is what your car needs. Nissan Mufflers and mid pipes are to expensive even if you could find them.
Q:whats the diffrence between axelback and catback exhaust systems?
This Site Might Help You. RE: what is the strongest flexible cloth glue? read the question. It needs to be really strong.
Q:Just thinking about upgrading my exhaust and i was wondering if this cheaper brand was worth the money, and if not whats a good brand that may keep me under $300
it should say on the drivers door. but 35 is most likely right
Q:Civic exhaust system?
I'll tell you right now. If you go and buy that POS exhaust, its going to rust the **** off and real quick like too. Its also going to sound and look like crap. Don't expect it to last long. Invest in a better product and save your time and money in the end. Check out Thermal, HKS, Injen and companies like that. Anyways, if it doesn't and you put a new exhaust on there that doesn't have a cat either. Just have an exhaust shop install one for you when they put the exhaust on.
Q:It‘s a 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer Gli. Was thinking a cannon but not sure if a sports exhaust would be better,.
A little bit of pressure will slow you a little, a lot of pressure will slow you a lot.
Q:explain how you would assess the exhaust system in a car? what would you look for?
Enhanced traction control, most likely have a bad hub.
Q:im looking to buy a exhaust system that increases my hp and wont sound ricerish on my 03 Eclipse GT Spyder. so maybe staying away from a catback exhaust. maybe a Borla or Injen. what kind would you recommend? and also a question i have about exhaust systems in general. would aftermarket exhausts cause the car the use more gas?? in other words lower mpg.thank you for your help
An after market exhaust can increase fuel economy if you don't change your driving habits. The increase would depend on how restrictive the stock system may be. As far as not sounding ricerish, maybe look for a chamber muffler, like dynomax or flowmaster. They should produce a low rumble. The best bet might be to talk to someone at your local exhaust shop, and ask them what they would recommend. They could likely give you a few clues at how to make your car sound how you want it to.
Q:I want to get a better sound out of my bike but I don‘t want to buy a jet kit or a high price muffler and intake system. My question; Can I just remove all the filler from my stock muffler to get a deeper tone? I keep reading that if I don‘t get a jet kit while increasing my exhaust flow that I could damage valves, but that doesn‘t seem plausible considering that everything I am reading says that having a more open exhaust increases EGT (Exhaust Gas Temp), but common sense would tell you that having a better air flow would cool it down right?? I‘m not looking for a performance upgrade because I‘m on a Hyosung GT250R and it‘s not like I‘ll get that much out of it. I just want a louder and little bit deeper tone, is that too much to ask without spending $800?
On a 250 motor you will lose some bottom end power by opening up the exhaust. Try drilling out some of the baffle or removing some of the packing from the muffler. This will hurt your bottom end power though.unless you re-jet and tune the carbs to match the changes you make.
Q:Monday on my way to work (at 4:30 AM so I am beloved in the neighborhood), it was apparent to me that I needed a new muffler. I finally had a chance to look yesterday and, yep, there‘s a nice spot where it has rusted through. Now, if you want your sump pump replaced or a legal brief written, I‘m your man, but I know next to nothing about cars. When I take my car in to have the muffler replaced, if I am told that the exhaust system also needs work, how can I know if it truly does?
I don't see anything wrong with getting a second opnion. Go to another shop and see what they say.
Q:i want to put a aftermarket exhaust system on my car but is it illegal in san francisco, california? and do the chp pick on cars that look jdm more??
that would be a bonit or a boot
