- Q:I have found white worms in the vacuum cleaner bag they also appear to be heavily infesting my carpet and look alot like snakes. What could this be?
- The worms are probably the larval form of the carpet beetles. Routine vacuuming effectively removes carpet beetles which are already present, as well as hair and lint which could support future infestations. Particular attention while vacuuming should be paid to the edges of carpets, along baseboards, underneath furniture and similar quiet areas where carpet beetles prefer to feed. Insecticide applications directed into infested areas are often useful as a supplement to good housekeeping. Products containing active ingredients such as chlorpyrifos, permethrin, bendiocarb and allethrin are effective against carpet beetles. Sprays may be applied to carpets (especially beneath and along the edge adjacent to the baseboard), underneath furniture and other likely areas of infestation where prolonged contact with humans is unlikely. Clothing and bedding should not be sprayed and should be removed before treatment. Control of carpet beetles requires patience and a thorough inspection to locate all sources of infestation. Elimination of widespread, ongoing infestations may require the services of a professional pest control operator.

- all you have to do is take a flexible measuring tape, put the start of it in the middle of his chest, go around the widest part of his body, aroiund the point of his butt, and to the center of his tail. whatever the measurement is, that's the size you need. if the rug doesn't come in the size, go up the next bigger size they have. i'd guess roughly a 66 inch rug for the welsh.
- Q:i dont have enough money to re-carpet my floor. for my room my dad says that it would cost about $500. but we dont have enough spare money for that kind of thing (we're saving for disney.) but i hate my carpet! it has stains all over it that i cant get out. and its a girly periwinkle color. he said that i can re-paint it. but i cant paint it the color i want because the carpet wont work with it. i dont know what to do. my room is SO tiny as it is and i dont like it very much already. my parents have the biggest room (obviously) my older brother has the second biggest, my little brother has the third (i could have had it but it has green walls and red carpet) and my older sisters room is the same size as my little brother's. what is an alternative to recarpeting my room so i dont have to pay as much??? is there ANY ideas, anything that might help is appretiated, thanks!!!
- you can always go out and rent an extraction machine and clean your carpet. also whats underneath your carpet? if its wood flooring and its in good shape take the carpet out and get yourself an area rug or runner.

- I too, have kids (and a dog...) and I know how tough it is to keep up when it comes to the carpet. There are powder carpet cleaners that work great. I know you can get them at Oreck or Sears, and I'm sure other places as well. These are great products because you don't have to wait for the carpet to dry after using. Also, try Basic H-It's a Shaklee product and works wonders on all kinds of stains. My sister got me started with Shaklee and not only are their products environmentally safe but they really do work great! As you stated that you have small children, cleaning chemicals may not be something you want to put on your carpet.
- Q:I got a puppy and a kitten at basically the same time, so needless to say, the carpets need to be deorderized so they will not be tempted to keep peeing on them again.I heard you needed to basically douse it in Natures Miracle, let that dry and then sprinkle baking soda on it for 2 days then vacuum up. - Nature's Miracle didn't harm the carpet. Keep using it on future stains. I'd iron the carpet. Turn it over so the backing is on top, place a damp cloth on top of the wrinkly part and use a very warm, but not hot iron, with not too much pressure. SHOULD work.

- Stains need to be treated before steam cleaning. The best cleaner in the world won't remove the stains by itself.

- If you don't clean completely, you can do it again. After brushing out foam hard, and the water-absorbing quality is good: Spray some Net Collar on the carpet where milk pours (a carpet cleaner is best, this is the best way to remove milk stains, dip a little less water, then don't tread on this place, clean cloth or an old T-shirt or towel (not to wear without use). - Carpet Pythons are semi arboreal, so they will appreciate some things to climb on when they are young and old. But as they get older they will need some pretty sturdy branches. Depending on what locality you get, it may get anywhere from 6'-12'. Carpet Pythons actually mellow out a lot when they mature a bit. They are fine with being handled, and it'll make it easier on you. You could start off in a big tank, but you have to make sure that the snake feels secure. Lots of hides, branches, etc. Plus you need to make sure there's enough heat for the whole cage. I would start off in a smaller tank if you can, but you don't have to. And one other tip about Carpet Pythons, unlike most snakes, which are usually fed prey the size of the fattest part of the snakes body, they actually can eat prey that are bigger than that, and prefer it.
