The pumps are designed for economical & trouble-free operation in handling solids-laden liquids and slurries, it handle up to 76.2mm spherical solids.Pumps feature a large volute design which allows them to re-prime automatically in a completely open system without the need of suction or discharge check valves. And this is workable with the pump only partially filled with liquid and completely dry suction line.

Standard Self-Priming pump units are available for Solids Handling or Clear Liquid service. Typical mounting configurations areEngine Driven for Skid or Trailer Mounted packages and Frame Mounted Electric Driven.  Pumps also are available in a variety of different metallurgies.

Q:i have a well that i am trying to pump and i need to have one pump to bring the water up from the well, and one pump to take it out to our lawn. i just wanted to know if i could hook the irrigation pump directly into the well pump, or if that would be damaging to the pump?thanks!
You can always use demand pumps to do the job. This way they just sit idle and wait on the call for water before they go to work.
Q:In my house. Any ideas regarding how much this is going to cost me?
You need to get a second opinion from a knowledgeable friend or family member. When you say water pump , do you mean the well pump or is it a pump connected to the furnace that helps cycle hot water through radiators in the house? Please get a second opinion , maybe a friend or family can recommend someone who can help you.
Q:I have a leak and all the hoses are fine but I am not sure were the water pump is also has anyone had this repaired and what did it cost (part plus labor) in general is it hard to get to? Thanks in advance
The water pump is in the front of your motor where your v-belt or serpentine belt is. the cost should be minimal like 150- 18o for the part plus a couple hours labor. Since your in that area it is a good time to replace your timing belt because to do that you''d just have to pay that labor again and a timing belt is cheap. Good luck BS
Q:im buying a mazda 626 for 800 abd the owner selling just let me know that the water pump is going out. is it a fairly easy fix or should i keep shopping for a vehicle?
if the water pump goes out then the car can over heat, and if it over heats too much the motor can blow.then you will have to buy a whole new motor.it's really not a big deal to fix..for you it will be,but for a mechanic its easy.here is a BIG tip for you....i'm a car guy i do this all the time...plzzzz do not buy the water pump from a mazda dealership, you will end up paying hundreds..go to a junk yard and get a used one they work just as good, and if you can go to a near by occupational center where they have an automotive class they only charge $20 if you bring your own part.....hope this helps
Q:water pump
Flow? Head? suction pressure? Type of pump if that matters to you? You'll get better suggestions if you provide as much information as is relevant.
Q:We're doing some droplet impact experiments and are creating the flow of water to our droplet generators by elevating our source of water. Unfortunately as the water depletes the pressure changes. We need to siphon off the water from our lower basin where the water collects and pump it back up to the source (around 6-8 feet up). What kind of pump do I need for this?
I would think a pump of the type used for garden fountains and ponds would work. They some in sizes many of which are rated in gallons per hour rather that gpm. You can get the any many home improvement centers as well as on line.
Q:Two sewage pumps switch from each other, start with float switch control, the first sump, when the water is full, the first start, the second rotation to second units start, so the cycle of alternating
The puddle is full, the float switch is closed, and the relay J1 works to drive the first motor. The J1's work makes the intermediate relay 'J' work and locks itself, preparing for the work of the second machines. The water level is lowered to the required minimum position, the ball is broken, the motor is stopped and the motor is stopped. When the water level rose to the highest position again, the floating ball closed again, the relay J2 and self-locking relay J2 to drive second motors, instant intermediate relay are opened, when the water level again be reduced to the lowest position, float off, the motor stops working, stop by working in front of the intermediate relay. The whole circuit back to the original state. So that the two motors work alternately. It should be noted that the circuit diagram for simple to understand, only painted the control circuit, there is no main circuit, there is no missing phase, leakage, over-current and other protection, the actual installation needs to be installed. There is the role of time relay is to ensure that the relay J2 normal work, the intermediate relay is disconnected, so that the motor 2 does not occur wrong action, time relay can be set to a few seconds, or even less than a second. Intermediate relay can also be controlled by time relay, and its time is also set very small, so as to avoid J2 short time possible power supply.
Q:How tight to a tighten down the bolts on a '86 volvo 240 water pump. The manual I bought doesn't say. The torque won't help me cause I don't have a torque wrench, so just general discription would help a lot. (I stripped the threads on a stud last time)
the pump is held on with 6mm x 100 thread pitch nuts and bolts. the best tool to use will be a 1/4 inch drive ratchet and short extension with a 10 mm deep socket [6 point] these bolts are 12-15 ft bs. of torque if you snug bolts down evenly and use only moderate pressure as a final tighten you should be alright. after srarting all bolts let pump relax so the top seal is not crushed
Q:The leak is in the same area as my water pump, but when I jacked my car up yesterday, I wasn't able see my water pump. It's a 99 Saturn SL1.With the leak, it leaks very slowly, and it only leaks about a few ounces of fluid at a time. It mostly only leaks when I start the engine while its cooled down, and it's leaking down the passenger side of my engine. If it was a bad water pump, would the antifreeze leak without stopping until all of the antifreeze is gone?
it can be leaking also from your radiator..you might want to check the cheaper solutions first. replacing a water pump is very expensive
